Code of Honor The French Foreign Legion-ViTALiTY
Today we have a Budget first-person shooter Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion brought to us by our friends at ViTALiTY. The graphics look a bit below standard but the gameplay might make up for that. It also might be interesting to be in control of a soldier that isn’t in the US Military. This game isn’t going to replace Call of Duty any time soon but should give you a few hours of enjoyable shooting.
For almost two hundred years now, the French Foreign Legion has attracted adventurers from all over the world. One of them is Claude Boulet, a 26 year-old Parisian, brought up in harmony with tough street rules. The Legion was where he found his place, and it led him straight to the hellish African savanna.
A revolution inspired by the African Revolutionary Group erupted in Ivory Coast. The FDSC government forces, and the European troops supporting them, were overwhelmed by a surprise attack. As a result the enemy possesses an impressive armory. Even worse is the fact that the rebels have taken over a transport of radioactive waste on its way from nuclear power plants. They now have enough material to create several “dirty bombs” that could threaten European countries.
The risk of nuclear attack has forced the international community to intervene immediately. France has reacted the fastest by transferring the elite 13th half-brigade from Djibouti to Ivory Coast. Among the several hundred men is Senior Corporal Claude Boulet. Based on tests of character he has been appointed to lead the most difficult operation of the war. Never, in his darkest dreams, did Claude expect the trouble he found himself in. From now on he will always associate Côte d’Ivoire with the war path he had to tread in the defense of freedom and democracy.

a game doesnt need to be big to be fun , anyway most of the new games are like : 6gigs are movies , 3gigs are music and the hole game is like 1gig or less …
games are getting bigger not because they need to be big but because of lame developer teams and the marketing scheme that thinks “Big is beautiful”

I remember watching a trailer for this game and reading a review, I heard the game was uninspired and horrible, but you guys give it 4.0+.
There was a demo out a while ago and the game.. well… just sucked

This game is too short, my character just gave up at the first sign of conflict!
I see we’ve got a couple of posters who’ve bought into the politically motivated bashing of the French. The crew of my father’s B-17 had to bail out over France and he told me that he and the other surviors owed their life to the brave members of the French Resistance Movement. Actually, three of the resistance members we’re killed in the overall effort to get the downed American Crew to safety.
This is just a game, stop expressing your political and racial views please, thnx.

This looks like it’s using quite an old engine, but graphics aren’t everything. Hopefully the gameplay is reasonable, and I hope it’ll keep me entertained for a little while.

they making games that takes place in Africa and don’t even take the time to make some researchs, Ivory coast is a tropical country there is no desert in Ivory coast.

Just some info on the FFL..The French Foreign Legion is Just that,an offshoot of The regular french army…But ONLY for foreigners,a French born citizen is not allowed to join the Legion and the FFL are one or the oldest and toughest special military forces in the world and they played a big role as support troops during Desert Storm….and these guys(no woman are allowed to join)….are fu**in nuts….

I thought that the game was wery boring, if i have know this i shudend download it
American too were kiked out by viet Nam, irak isn’t a victory for US, Every day a marine dies….
you don’t know anything about this force, and you argue,, very sad….
For the size this game is not to bad, some of the weapons are cooler than others (The suppressed MP5 is way cool but you only get it in the last mission).
It works ok on Vista x64 if your system has some balls.
That being said….THE GAME IS WAY TO SHORT!!!. Only 8 missions, I’m no pro gamer but I finished it on the hard setting in about 6 hours, just when you get into it, it’s over..
If I’d have paid for this game, I’d be seriously pissed…but for a
but for a under 30min d/l It’s worth a look imho..

well the french foreign legion are nuts and open to any nationality (french included).
when u go there u forget ur familly , they change ur name ( great hiding place for criminal cose they can erase ur past lol).
i found the graphics of it’s game basics , but the gameplay is good .
the only thing which is rather irritating is that the enemies always pop up at the same spot .
overall it’s a good game for the size .
I don’t know why you guys would “dis” the french foreign legion. they are probably the best army in the world! could beat america anytime in a battle!
Actually, the FFL and the US Marines had a little competiton.
THe group was to run like 15 Kilometers or something, then do a series of obsticales.
The FFL did this in 45 Minutes!!!!!
The US MARINES did it in 4 hours!!!!

Not a lot of soldiers were sent compared to America
They had no ammo because of arguments with the French Government. THey were not equipped.
But America! WOW!!!! thinking that they are the best army, doesnt take the advice of the french not to go to VIetnam, and then gets completely killed.
And just look at it this way.
The Americans had all they wanted: thousand and thousands of soldiers, endless ammo, ships, airforce everything u name it!
but the french just had themselves and they probably did better than the Americans.
SO DONT DIS THE FRENCH!!!

1°)The game do not suck anyway considering what u supposed to get when u download it for free…
2°)FFL is absolutely french army where some soldiers are non french but :all officers are french,a lot of french sign-in arguing(no identity paper needed)they are swiss or belgium…
3°)Every soldier in the world knows (including american spec ops)it s the best army of ever .
4°)Vietminh(vietcong) were very good sodiers and strategics.They kicked american ases in 70’s(like somalians did too in 90’s )
5°)french did better in vietnam in 50’s whith only professional soldiers and after WW2 german occupation than the 1st military and economic power we have seen kicking their own helicopters from their cV decks to go home faster…
6°)Ivory cost is dry tropical climat:Savannas in the north(like in the game),more green stuff in the south but no “jungle” here .
7°)all these things as another proof that common us citizen don’t know nothing about history and geographic of the rest of the world.
But i like them anyway…
