Cloverfield PROPER TS XViD-iLG

Another TS, but this time of “Cloverfield”, by some critics one of the best movies this year. Well i have to check that, since i didn’t watched it yet. Previous TS release by OBSESSiON was nuked for No IVTC so that’s why a proper. Also this one have a completely different source than previos OBSESSiON’s one, so you can expect a lil’ bit more of quality. ;-)

The quality is probably the best for what you can achieve with a cam, unless you use the Hollywood production ones, lol – $60,000 cam, no thanks.

If you can’t wait for an R5 or DVDSCR, this will do. It’s worth the money though, so go watch it in the cinema.

Just avoid the “Monster” straight to dvd knock-off.

this is a movie you need to see as high quality. wait for a r5 or a dvdrip. Also seeing it for the first time is what made it such a hit. wait and you will be happy. the blair-witch camera style really isnt to bad as long as the quality is pro. bear with it and find a 50+ inch tv to watch this on.

  51. joeblow
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:27

any critics who gave this movie rave reviews were obviously on the payroll of the company that made it because every person i know who saw it said it was horrible, and that the hand held point of view shaky camera perspective that the entire film is shot in makes you feel nauseous. in fact CNN even had a big article about people leaving the theatres in droves because the editing is so fast and the camera is constantly jerking about so much that people were getting sick, not just some, but TONS of people. that doesn’t equate to fun for me… :/

  52. Not Stupider
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:28

    I agree with that remark.
On that note, because of certain scenes(jerky camera and wat not), I still gotta hold off til at least a screener.
    Thanx aneway RLSLOG.

@31 this is a site that posts “scene-releases.” You can’t compare a cam to an R5 or DVDSCR thats like comparing a bike to a Ferrari. :|

@51, no one cares about your opinion on the movie.

  55. 6d5g4
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:35

Blair Witch sucked… and movies with shaky hand held camera suck.
Cloverfield sounded good but when I found out it was portrayed like Blair Witch, I knew it was not going to be.

  56. Mehrdad1
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:36

Best first person film of the year :P

This movie is not at all like blair witch, because it doesn’t suck.

Don’t see why people are posting they will not download it, how dumb is that?

I saw this in theaters and it is probably my favourite movie of the year (so far).

  58. goatman
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:40

well i was epileptic back in the day and saw this in the cinema (this movie seemed worth it) and had no problems but being at the back helped. but yeah dont bother with a cam or ts most of this movie was shot during the night so the quality will suck wait till a r5 or dvd rip and watch it in 5.1 sound too :D

  59. Brendan
    February 2nd, 2008 | 04:41

We all have our opinions of the movie.
Some hated it, some loved it.

    February 2nd, 2008 | 05:50

    February 2nd, 2008 | 05:50

this movie is ALL HYPE… the actual story is pretty dull. This is what the start of 2008 has been about. Brand advertising.. pay attention to the movie and count how many brands JJ Abhrams includes in the film. And all those advertisers are pretty happy I bet.

I just finished watching this, and the audio is not out of sync. I watched it on Windows media player.
Not bad quality, little dark in places, hard to make out some stuff, but audio is good.
I liked this movie, I think I will go to the theater and see this, good movie.
The shaky camera thing is not as annoying as in the Bourne movies, this is from the point of view from someone this is happening to so if you think of someone holding a video camera the whole time, it is really quite good. In my opinion only. Other people hate this, and others like it, that is why it is an opinion and not a matter of fact. I liked it.

also, is there a way of getting around the waiting time for rapidshare files without a premium membership?

  99. Fungible
    February 2nd, 2008 | 08:01

    @leftfield

how are you able to use rapidshare without a premium account? i have always had one, but i didnt know you could use rapidshare for free. is it worth it?

  100. AssChief
    February 2nd, 2008 | 08:21

    @101

You can use it for free but have to wait like an hour between files. And theres like a 100mb cap or something.

    @leftfield

Yep, there are ways. Proxies are your friend. Theres alot of garbage sites that don’t work, but theres quite a few that do. Paying for RS premium=nub. But paying a membership to steal movies is the cool thing these days. So keep on payin!

And in other news-Richard Branson of Virgin Records will make commercial space flight a reality in 2009 for all you space cadets.

  103. Johnny
    February 2nd, 2008 | 08:55

Waste of time, the overdone camera movement makes people puke in the theaters. The idea is ok, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

  104. Antonio
    February 2nd, 2008 | 09:14

    @Johnny

I’ve seen this movie twice, but I do not remember an execution scene at all.

Does this TS version have any scenes that weren’t in the cinema release maybe?

  105. Elvishfolk
    February 2nd, 2008 | 09:35

I think he meant the execution of the idea, as in how it was done in the movie, not an execution scene!!! Overall, this IS by far one of the greatest movies this year… it makes AVPR look like Enchanted… (Story wise!!)

  106. grainofsand
    February 2nd, 2008 | 10:11

just finished it up and really enjoyed it. These guys were on point the whole way through. Meaning a ton of the scenes were shot continuously without stopping or editing. It probably only took them a few weeks to film. Kudos to the actors and director.

Saw 20 minutes of this in the theatre before almost puking… but I’ll snag the DVDRip or R5 to watch on a very, very small screen. :D

They completely overdid the shaky cam effect, trying to make it look like a real camcorder.

@100 – A NZB file is kind of like a torrent file, but for usenet, it just tells your usenet client which group and which files to download in order to get the whole thing. Honestly, use Usenet if you can, the speeds are much higher, I get 5 mb/s on a cable modem compared to the 200k/s I get using Bit-torrent, plus no forwarding ports, and it isn’t a system under attack where your going to get a notice from some group that you infringed copyright. On torrent, all IP’s are visible, Usenet is a lot more transparent and anonymous.

Amazing thing is that you probably have usenet access (also referred to as newsgroups), it proably came free with your Internet connection, so just look up the info, they tend to be crappy, like 2 gb of transfer, or get unlimited transfer for like $19 a month from giganews. Finally, download a binary usenet client, open the NZB and it downloads (i use binsearch.info to make NZB’s).

    Trinagle:

What crap did you telling us? The monster is attacking NY because a japanese company, which owns a dozen seebased mining plattforms, began in Sep 2007 to drill in the area off the coast of NY. According to the websites of the viral marketing campaign of Cloverfield….the company is mining a new material from deep sea…..several marine ships are attacked in the days before cloverfield. No muslims…..no remote control….check wikipedia and the links at the end…related to the viral campaign. Very interesting…like LOST…they are many hidden informtion in the net….a manga comic in japan tells the story before cloverfield.

    The Screener:
Cloverfield can not be enjoyed as Screener…I saw it in the cinema and 2 times as screener….as screener the movie bores you…on screen (or maybe DVD quality) the movie is way better.

This was a movie i really enjoyed but wished i hadn’t watched it on the big screen. Main reason being, it’s all filmed on a camcorder, so to keep it real it makes more sense watching at home, as you would with anythin filmed in this way. No disrespect to JJ, Reeves, or any of the people involved in the movie, it’s damn good and i highly recommend it, but it’s one to watch at home on the big screen HD for sure. Don’t waste your time on wack cam or TS downloads, cos that’s lame as hell watching a cam of a cam, hold back and be patient, and if you insist on watching a downloaded copy then wait for a DVD Rip. Believe me, it’ll be worth the wait.

I wish people would stop complaining about the “shaky camera.” It’s called effect. As far a Blair Witch goes, Cloverfield is 100 times better because it doesn’t have annoying people constantly putting their faces close to the screen. The camera shakes because the people were running and they were scared. I saw the movie in theaters and personally thought that this was a great movie. It’s just my opinion, but it’s certainly better than those people who haven’t saw the movie yet and are just posting what they’ve other people said instead of seeing the movie themselves.

I’m trying an experiment, taking the audio from the Obsession release and encoding into the Proper though they are different lengths, I guess I’ll have to cut them to the same times.

  148. Britnasty

    February 2nd, 2008 | 20:26

Quality is watchable but when they swing the camera around it blurs really bad and takes a second or two to focus. Sound is alright, but definitely not a line.

  151. ladiesman217
    February 2nd, 2008 | 20:28

using movavi to strip the audio from Obsession, avimux as well, trying to figure out how to cut the video to same length, thinking adobe premiere, then reencode both streams either with winavi or convertxtodvd prob as mpeg at 29.97fps and hopefully something will go right

This movie is very similar to the shaky camera movie “Blair Witch Project” from about 6 years ago.

But this movie is much worse due to many obnoxious actors crying for no reason and annoying girls in film screaming name of Jason!, Jason! too often.

Also, this movie has bad camera work, in which camera shakes too much, like for a running-with-camera-in-hand effect, but it is only to give you a fear for upsetting the stomach of viewers.

Blair Witch Project movie is much better since that is true of a story, while this movie is all false. No monsters exist in Manhattan, NY, and this is just one more problem in addition to shaky camera view of this movie.

    Danny,
There’s a weird trick to downloading from yastorage

First, click on the word “Request” where it reads “Request Download Link” near the top left of the page.

On the next page, go to where it reads “Downloading File” underlined in bold type on the right of the page. Click on the letter “F” in the word “File”

    That will start your download.

  184. TinTin
    February 9th, 2008 | 01:32

Vid quality is ok for a TS, sound is good. However first person cam perspective doesnt work with TS, needs to be SCR or R5 quality really to be watch on any screen over 32 inch. On large screens even in DVD quality it will annoy the crap out of most people when the action starts. Not worth the download. Critics must have been drunk when they rated this. Abbrams dropped the ball using hand held camera when making this, promising story, loads of potential, poorly executed. Basically its godzilla 2 done in a blair witch stylie.

i didnt like it at all! there are soooo many things that are going on at the same time i would have to watch it 3 times to understand everything that was said and to catch every angle. you really must pay alot of attention when watching. i sat 4 rows from the front and the shakey camera view sucked. i give it a 3 out of 10 no plot horrible editing terrible ending. it did however have good acting and good special effects. im actually sad because they had a very good idea for a good movie and you keep waiting for the shakey camera to go away and the real movie to begin but thats probably where cloverfield 2 will pick up

The repack is decent you can hardly notice sync problems, except for one scene. Whats with comments like “this movie sux don’t watch it” ? Surely it isn’t too hard to grasp the simple concept that not everyone is like you and not everyone thinks like you, we all have a magical thing called opinions! by all means say you didn’t like the movie, but do you really think people are going to not watch a movie just because you tell the to? People like you make me laugh my tits off.
