Close Quarters Conflict-HATRED

Second today’s release of scene group HATRED is also action, but this time First Person Shooter. Close Quarters Conflict is one of these games which hardly exist on the internet and you can consider yourself very lucky if you find at least the cover of it – finding some screenshots is almost impossible. Although it looks little like Unreal Tournament, there’s not too much to say about this, just don’t expect absolutely anything. The absence of any security protection says a lot.

Join a team, pick a class, and dive into the action of objective-based, team combat similar to the classic online multiplayer games Team Fortress, and Return To Castle Wolfenstein. Begun as a Quake mod nine years ago and subsequently acquired by Valve Software prior to the release of Half-Life, Team Fortress Classic still enjoys great popularity and ranks as the fourth most popular online multiplayer game today. Return To Castle Wolfenstein continues to enjoy success from this proven game concept.

Play it your way. CQC has several different classes to choose from, each with their own unique abilities and weapons, to support many different styles of play. Be a team player. With a diversity of classes and a team spirit, you’ll dominate the ‘every man for himself’ teams you encounter. Play as a team and prevail. Dive in, instant action. Intuitive controls and unambiguous objectives provide a soft-landing for the Value Title FPS newbie, while the class variety and precision weapons provide skill-based rewards for seasoned players.

Game features:

  • 20 multiplayer levels with up to 32 players via Internet or LAN.
  • 8 Single player campaign levels.
  • Six classes: Soldier, Sniper, Grenadier, Gunner, Recon and Medic. With each class possessing different combat abilities, weapons, armor and speed.
  • 14 Weapons
  • Game types include: Asset Seizure, Ground Control, Assault, DM/TDM and Last Man Standing.

Call of Duty 3 has already been released on Consoles, but they don’t make it for PC. Sorry about that.
But Activision has already been working with a CoD game for PC ;-)
Some rumors say it won’t be in WWII, like the CoD1 and 2.

Yeah game looks and seems to play OK, but can never be caompared to CS! Only that it is First Person. As there is nobody it seems on the internet playing then a waste of time really. With a few servers and players then it could have been OK.

I think it’s not as good as Delta Force 4 Black Hawk Down

I don’t even think it’s better than CS.

In Delta Force 4, there’re more weapons and explosives. You can even ride on Humvee and use 50 .cal machinegun on it, and fly in Black Hawk Helicopter, use minigun, there’re also grenade launcher with infinite ammo. Have you even flied… IT’S SO COOL!

The cheat for that is press ~ first then enter “god”, press ~ again to close it. You will be undead. This only works for training mode not for online mode.

    Great FPS shooter.

    “Great FPS shooter.”

You’ve got to be kidding? Where to begin?

There’s supposed to be 8 single-player levels. Where? All that showed up was one, so-called, “Training” mission. What training? It was just your run-of-the-mill level. No instructions or guidance, and you were dead after a few hits.

As for online play, after three days, not one server was listed in the Internet area. When hosting a game, I couldn’t set the time limit; no matter what I changed it to, it would stay at 10 min.

I also ran into a quirt where my gun would randomly fire a shot without me doing anything. Also, I couldn’t get it to run on my ATI-based system, but ran fine under nVidia.

The only things I liked about this game were the level designs and the music. Glad I only paid 20 bucks.
