Clay Aiken - On My Way Here (2008)

Kind of slipping through the cracks is the new album from American Idol Season 2 Runner Up Clay Aiken. Say what you will about his personal life or the style of the music, there is no doubt that he has vocal talent. He’s a little corny, a little goofy, but this might be the kind of album you get for your girlfriend, wife, or mother.

On My Way Here is the fourth full length studio album planned to be released by American Idol Season 2 alumnus, Clay Aiken on May 6, 2008. Marc “Kipper” Eldridge is the producer and Jaymes Foster the executive producer. Enjoy.

Clay Aiken (born Clayton Holmes Grissom on November 30, 1978) is an American pop singer who began his rise to fame on the second season of the television program American Idol in 2003. Based on album sales surpassed only by Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, Aiken has become the most successful male and the most successful runner-up in that show’s history.

Thank you for posting this release Martin. Unlike some of your visitors, I appreciate your work. We live in a global society with a wide variety of likes and dislikes and it’s nice to know Releaselog reflects that. And shame on those who whine and complain yet fail to contribute to this world in any way.

Well true that people have different taste, but the thing is you usually cater to the masses. I could invent some buns made from turds and im sure 1-2 people in the world would love them but itd never do me any good. Just like rlslog you start whipping out turd buns and ppl gonna start looking elsewhere for rls info.

    History Lesson:

On October 14, 2003, Clay Aiken released his first solo album, Measure of a Man, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was, with 613,000 copies sold in its first week, the highest-selling debut for a solo artist in 10 years. The album received RIAA Double Platinum certification November 17, 2003. Later that year, Aiken won the Fan’s Choice Award at the American Music Awards ceremony, and his CD single “This Is the Night/Bridge Over Troubled Water” won the Billboard award for the Best-Selling Single of 2003.

On November 16, 2004, Aiken released a holiday album titled Merry Christmas With Love, which set a new record for fastest-selling holiday album. The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and tied Céline Dion’s record for the highest debut by a holiday album in the history of Billboard magazine. Merry Christmas With Love sold over 1,000,000 copies retail in 6 weeks and was the best-selling holiday album of 2004, receiving RIAA Platinum certification on Jan. 6, 2005.

Aiken’s third album, A Thousand Different Ways, was released September 19, 2006. Debuting at #2 on the Billboard chart, A Thousand Different Ways made Aiken the fourth artist ever to have his first three albums debut in the Top 5 and scan over 200,000 in the first week.

Releaselog continues to cater to the masses, despite some people’s blurred perspectives.
