Wow, this release completely passed me by at pre time yesterday. I saw the trailer at apple.com/trailers a while back and I thought it looked really trippy. This is a chinese film by famous chinese director, actor and writer Stephen Chow. It is very likely you will recognize him from his most famous project “Kung-Fu Hustle” (which was a smash hit worldwide) or “Shaolin Soccer” which was a really enjoyable film as well. The style of this film looks entirely different, but original all the same, so this is definitely worth a watch.
Quality: Its a DVDRip! Awesome quality all crammed in on one CD. 936kb/s video bitrate and 162kb/s audio bitrate. Spoken language is the original Cantonese (Thank god for that, gotta hate dubs) but ESPiSE have supplied English, Chinese, Korean and Thai subtitles. Cams were previously released of this film but finally we get this brilliant rip. Download away.
Ti (Stephen Chow) is a poor father who works all day, everyday at a construction site to make sure his son Dicky Chow (Xu Jian) can attend an elite private school. Despite his father’s good intentions to give his son the opportunities he never had, Dicky, with his dirty and tattered clothes and none of the “cool” toys stands out from his schoolmates like a sore thumb. Ti can’t afford to buy Dicky any expensive toys and goes to the best place he knows to get new stuff for Dicky – the junk yard! While out “shopping” for a new toy for his son, Ti finds a mysterious orb and brings it home for Dicky to play with.
