Civilization IV Beyond The Sword-RELOADED
It’s been just a few minutes since release groups ITWINS and RELOADED pre’d the PC version of Beyond The Sword the second expansion pack for Sid Meier’s Civilization IV. Both groups managed to release the game in quick succession of each other with RELOADED’s release being the one that most will want as of course it is cracked, no emulation of the copy protection needed. This expansion focuses on the later time periods after gunpowder is invented. Included are 12 different scenarios, ten new civilizations, 16 new leaders, five new wonders, new units and much more. Being an expansion the original Civ IV game is required to play. You can also play this with OR without Warlords.
Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword is the second expansion pack for Civilization IV – the 2005 PC Game of the Year and a major commercial success, selling over 1.5 million units worldwide since its October 2005 release. The expansion will focus on the late-game time periods after the invention of gunpowder and will deliver 12 challenging and decidedly different scenarios created by the development team at Firaxis Games, as well as members of the Civilization Fan Community. Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword will also include ten new civilizations, 16 new leaders, five new wonders, and a variety of new units that will offer even more fun and exciting ways for players to expand their civilization’s power as they strive for world domination.

Features:
- Expanded Epic Game: Firaxis Games delivers a massive increase in new units, buildings, and technologies to the epic game with additional focus on the late-game time periods.
- New Game Scenarios: The expansion will deliver 12 new scenarios, many containing themes never before included in the Civilization series, custom designed by the team at Firaxis and select members of the Civ Fan Community.
- New Civilizations: The expansion pack includes ten new civilizations, such as Portugal, Babylon and Netherlands and their associated unique units and buildings.
- More Civilization Leaders: Sixteen new leaders including leaders for the ten new civilizations, as well as additional leaders for existing civilizations.
- Corporations: A new gameplay feature that allows players to create corporations and spread them throughout the world. Each corporation provides benefits in exchange for certain resources.
- Espionage: Now available much earlier in the game, this expanded feature offers players many new ways to spy on opponents, stir citizen unrest and defend their government’s secrets.

- Events: New random events such as natural disasters, pleas for help, or demands from their citizens will challenge players to overcome obstacles in order for their civilizations to prosper.
- New Wonders: Five new wonders await discovery including the Statue of Zeus, Cristo Redentor, Shwedagon Paya, the Mausoleum of Maussollos, and the Moai Statues.
- Expanded Space Victory: Winning the race to Alpha Centauri will now require more strategic planning and tactical decision making.
- Apostolic Palace: The United Nations will become available earlier in the game, providing a way for players to win a diplomatic victory earlier. New resolutions will also be added which will expand the available diplomatic options.
- Advanced Starts: A major fan request, this new feature will enable players to “buy” components of a custom-tailored empire and begin play in the later part of the game, allowing them to experience many of the new features of the expansion pack in a shorter amount of time.
- Enhanced AI: The AI has received many enhancements, making it tougher to beat on the higher difficulty levels. The ways in which the AI will attempt to achieve victory have also been expanded.

Awesome, been waiting for this expansion. Can’t wait to play it.
Woohoo! A new summer game actually worth playing!
For those that will not look or read but come and maybe say something…
You do need the orginal game installed to play, it is not standalone.
I have the original game, but I kinda confused. Should I download the Warlords expansion AND this, and will both have their features combined into the game? Or are they completely separate?
@Nick:
Yes and no, civs, leaders and all content that was added to the vanilla game in Warlords is included. The scenarios aren’t.
There’s no real need for warlords now, unless you want to play the scenarios.
ok thanks. Kinda sucks for people who bought Warlords!
Any torrent yet?
the clone release is already on newtorrents
the reloaded one will show up soon….

hehe, first one for once
nerdgasm moment!
sorry. i’ve been waiting for this.
It won’t install… I get an error when patching to version 1.7.4
is anybody else getting a error message when trying to install this?
@krr
The error happens when the installer tries to apply the patch to 1.74
so how do i install it then? :S
It patched warlords too. Any crack for it?
Anybody knows if there’s a “standalone” patch to 1.74?
Couldn’t find it.
This game is way overrated.
OK.
I don’t know if it will help anyone, but that’s how I solved MY problem.
My problem was that whenever I tried to install BTS, the installer showed me an error when it was trying to apply the 1.74 patch.
I solved this by going to my TEMP folder (documents and settings/etc…) with the install screen OPEN.
The installer created a folder with a name similar to {32E4F0D2-C135-475E-A841-1D59A0D22989}. There I found two files, “Civ4Patch1.74.exe” and “Civ4WarlordsPatch2.13.exe”.
I copied these two files somewhere else, closed the BTS installer and applied the patches outside the BTS installer.
That way the BTS installer didn’t have to update the game and jumped directly to the instalation.
Someone was ‘faster’ than RELOADED or iTWINS and released this addon divided into two parts: ‘Civilization 4 – Beyond the sword part 1′ containig the image and the second one containig the additional ‘data3.cab’ file. Kinda weird and suspicious looking release. Anyway, as always, we can expect quality from those two ‘official’ groups
Can’t figure out what I did wrong. I burned the image file to a DVD and installed the game. But when exploring the DVD to find the crack directory it’s not on the DVD. The expansion installed fine but when I go to play, it tells me to insert the correct CD-ROM. Not sure what more to do with it without the crack.
hey may i know where i can download the original so that i can download this expansion ..
Hey, I just downloaded the torrent for the without getting Warlords. I now have gotten this thing extracted and everything and now I dont know what to do. Would someone please give me simple steps onto getting this thing up and running please?
IS any one getting the fatal error when trying to start the game? I keep getting Fatal Error Failed Initializing Python. Any one one what i can do to get around this or what .dll files i need to update or such? please please help thanks much
There is a fatal error for people who have used Direct2Drive and then a CD version. I found this out the hard way.
I have CIV IV (original) on CD.
I bought Warlords from Direct2Drive.com
Yesterday I bought Beyond The Sword on CD.
After a few hours of research I found out the CD and Direct2Drive are incompatable. So stay consistent. Hopefully they’ll have a patch really freak’n soon.
The Fatal Error Failed Initializing Python thing is because of some problems with warlords. If you unistall warlords then reinstall beyond the sword is should work perfectly fine
First, thanks to all who do such a good job with this site.
Next, about this game: I found it BORING, BORING, BORING! When I get a new game, I expect a new game. Not just a rehash of the last incarnation. This could just as well have been released as an expansion pack to Civ 3. And Civ 3 could have been an expansion pack for Civ 2 and so on.
From now on, I think I will just not play anything that has a number after the name.
Any one heard about a no-cd for patch 3.02 ?
And thx to rlslog people, a very good site with often many interesting things (including comments:)
Here is one option to avoid installation trouble with the patch that comes with bts.
1. unistall the entire game (yes the entire game)
2. Install civilization 4 and DO NOT UPGRADE or INSTALL the patch or cracked file
3. Install the BTS expansion
This way you can install without any trouble
enjoy
Is there a creck or mini beckup for v3.03 of BTS thet can be played on internet

Can anyone help me? When I try to install BTS, i get a little message saying that the patch failed to install. I dont know what to do to fix it.
Hello!
I have CIV IV, never patched. I don’t have the CD, since I downloaded the official version (that is, it’s not an illegal/cracked version) from the web. I now bought the BTS *CD* and when trying to install it I have exactly the same error as c_ool.
So I went on the forums and found out that the good slution was patching my CIV version from the “advanced settings” menu in the game. I tried to do that, it succesfully downloaded the whole patch (1.7) but was not able to install it because it could not find any previous version of CIV IV in my pc (!).
Ok, so I tried to install it manually, downloading the patch from the official website. Failed! Well, I than decided to go for the 1.6, and eventually patch it to the 1.7 succesfully. Failed! For the same reson as always (it does not find any previous version of the software).
I actually do not know what to do: I cannot even uninstall and re-install the game since I don’t have the first CIV IV executable (after the download 1 year ago, I think I deleted it – how dumb!).
Can anyone help out?
Thanks!
Is there a creck or mini beckup for v3.17 of BTS thet can be played on internet?
