City Homicide 1×03 Lie Down With Dogs HDTV XviD-FoV

First of all, this looks like this release was stolen from p2p. Reasoning is the NFO (48 Mhz instead of 48 Hz) and the filenaming. Or either I am just too suspicious. City Homicide is a new Aussie crime/drama series that premiered on Channel Seven on August 27, 2007. City Homicide is a fast-paced police drama that explores the world of the homicide squad based in a large metropolitan city. It’s told through the eyes of four young detectives and their superiors.

Starring Shane Bourne (Thank God You’re Here), Noni Hazlehurst (Stepfather of the Bride), Daniel MacPherson (The Bill), Nadine Garner (Raw FM) and Aaron Pedersen (Water Rats). The whole show is done very professionally – much like CSI but with better sounding audio. The quality of this rip is quite good as well. The show seems interesting to me and when more episodes appear on torrents I wouldn’t mind to download. The first and second episode can be found here. Side note: if you take the Global logo, rotate counter-clockwise 90*, then mirror it, it becomes a Channel Seven logo minus the line. Conspiracy theory? No. Conspiracy fact.

When a vicious robbery sparks off a territory war between Homicide and the Armed Robbery Squad. A dead armed robber in an old woman’s grave. Matt, Jennifer, Duncan and Simon bang heads with some unfriendly ‘colleagues’. It’s the Armed Robbery Squad v Homicide – a tough fixture, especially when the two coaches are going at it on the sidelines. Waverley and Jarvis both have points to make, and score. The AR squad muscles in on Wolfe’s Homicide case, so it’s time for revenge. And the best form of revenge is to be better than they are. All fine, except being better is going to cost. A life. And a conscience. You lie down with dogs, you pick up some fleas.

I downloaded one of these thinking it was some new American TV show, and was suprised to find it’s Australian. It was far better then any of the shit that comes out on US TV. Quite a nice suprise.

Yeah Australia doesn’t produce that many shows in fact we are the biggest downloaders of TV on the planet because our commercial networks aren’t that great.

If you watch the documentary on:
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7943417698180428255

Bram makes reference to Australian media. We have cable over here but Foxtel hasn’t really taken off yet. But the ADSL really shot off during 2004 and 2005.

Just with the current state of Australia’s broadband we keep falling behind see: http://www.whirlpool.net.au
for some examples of how we are falling behind due to one phone company (Telstra) owning the lines and a lot of the infrastructure. A lot of us, who realise that in America, Europe and Korea you have 100 meg per second connections or above are very shamed by only have barely 1.5 meg a second as the highest internet standard.

Which is why we tend to leech a lot of our TV because we get the episodes of stuff over here later. Take for example Doctor Who. We are only 2 episodes away from the final for that series. But we download the television all the same. Suppose its nice we can give some TV back or some quality TV for that matter.

The best residential service in Western Canada you can only get 1Mbit upload… that’s 120KB/s folks. So nothing special here either.

    This show is rather bad.

There was so much hype over it but channel 7 once again fails.
