China now #1 web users country
China has overtaken the United States in online presence as more Chinese citizens use the worldwide web. The largest country in terms of population is now also world’s largest Internet population. The China Internet Network Information Centre reported Friday that the country had 253 million netizens as of end of June, up by 56 percent from last year. In comparison, research company Nielsen Online reported 223.1 million Internet users in the U.S. in June.
However, China has only 19 percent of its population enjoying Internet access, far off from the U.S.’s 71 per cent and the global average of 21 percent. A majority of China’s cyber citizens are high school students at 39 million of the 43 million new netizens added in 2007. Ages below 30 comprise 69 percent of total web users. The government closely monitors the country’s Internet usage, however, online commerce, video sharing and other businesses among Chinese have been proliferating in the web.

The Internet connection is much better in US first of all it is NOT blocked/limited or controlled by the government as much as in China and second it is faster.
I don’t think that fiber is what they use in China or that they have 10 gbit up and down, or 100 mbit, only few places for business not for all the population.
You can say that China has more users on the Internet, but US or EU has more Internet, if you know what I mean.
Anybody knows if EU has more users than China or US?

I suggest that we count each Chinese net user as equal to one-half of a normal net user; so that they really have only 125 million users.
Because the Chinese Government allows its citizens to view only about one-half of what is on the internet, we should adjust the statistic accordingly. By giving the PRC the title of world leader, we simply give honor to a slave state that treats it people like you would treat your dog or cat or pet cricket.
OR EVEN MORE TO THE POINT…
Because its slaves are deprived of full access to the internet, we might say that there are ZERO users of the real internet in the PRC. This can be justified by defining a “user” as one who actually has ACCESS to the internet, not just the slave version.
Thus, the Peoples Republic of China leads in the Slave Version, but is dead last in human version.
