Children of Men 2006 PROPER DVDRip XviD-HAGGiS

A few days ago “Children of Men” came online but had some problems. I don’t know exactly what was wrong with it, cause I didn’t check it out. Have seen it in the cinemas and liked it. Here is a proper release for you by less known group HAGGiS.

Children of Men is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. If that doesn’t get you to download it immediately, let me explain. This movie has an awesome storyline with a (currently) unique background story. This movie feels like Half-Life 2 (the PC game released in November 2004) all the time, which is awesome. For those of you who haven’t played HL2 I guess it’s kinda hard to explain but I’m sure you’ve all played or at the very least seen it. What’s EXTREMELY cool is the way they’ve filmed the action sequences, that makes the whole experience feel even more like a game because it actually feels like you’re right there. The camera does not stop filming. There are no cuts to other cameras or takes. The camera just follows the main character from a very close distance while all kinds of shit’s happening all around him. You’ve gotta see it to experience this awesome movie! Next thing they should do is make camera’s zoom in threw the iron sights of weapons over characters’ shoulder much like in 3rd person shooters.

“LiNE release has a custom quantization matrix, which is forbidden
It also had problems with subs (although to their credit, they did release a subfix).
We have used h.263 quant matrix for maximum standalone compatibility.”

    [Proper]

LiNE release has a custom quantization matrix, which is forbidden
It also had problems with subs (although to their credit, they did release a subfix).
We have used h.263 quant matrix for maximum standalone compatibility.

    Enjoy.

    [Verbose Proper Reason]

We were very excited when we saw this pre, we feel it is easily one of the
best films of 2006, so we downloaded the LiNE release, burned it to disc
and started it up on the standalone. Unfortunatly it looked terrible.. lots of
pixelation, big obvious macroblocks and various other artifacts. Upon further
investigation our suspicions were confirmed, LiNE had used a custom quant matrix.
The matrix in question is AutoGK’s default matrix, which leads us to believe that LiNE
    have one-clicked their release.

Many people do not know or fully understand what the quant matrix is or why it’s important.
A simple explaination is that the matrix is essentially a series of threshold values
for the DCT that is used to quantify the amount of ‘detail’ that should
be put into a block. These thresholds dictate what detail to keep and what to discard
depending on how much of a change in average luminance there is between other ‘pixels’
in the block. Depending on the content of the video, some matrices are better than others
and can produce better (or worse) results. The two default xvid matrices, H.263 and MPEG,
are good allrounders and make a nice job of most types of video content.

The problem with custom matrices is mainly hardware compatibility with standalones.
“- Quant. Matrix always has to be H.263/MPEG due to lack of hardware
    support for Custom matrixes. ” – txd2k5

The majority of standalone players do not support custom matrices and exhibit artifacts, pixelation
and other problems that seriously degrade viewing enjoyment. Some players even crash or show no video
when trying to play a movie with a custom matrix. The other danger of using custom matrices is
if one dosn’t fully understand the relationship between the matrix and the type of content they’re encoding.
In LiNE’s case, it is the AutoGK default matrix, which generally is pretty good on most video content.

Sadly, a lot of groups are one-clicking their releases with autogk (m00tv, FTP, etc) and also having problems
with it using a custom matrix. We would encourage groups to use regular GK or other tool that dosn’t cause
problems. If groups really insist on oneclicking with autogk, please enable the standalone compatibilty
flag in the hidden options. This should produce a scene standard rip that will play fine on standalones.

If you have already downloaded the LiNE release and only intend to watch it on your PC and arn’t
bothered about subs, or don’t care about scene standards, then feel free to keep their release.
    Otherwise enjoy our proper.

(also from nfo, but witf a bit more info =))

I really cant see what all the fuss is about this film.

I thought it was way over hyped and totally unbelievable.

    And what a shit ending.

    Just my opinion of course.

there was an easy fix if you downloaded the LiNE version here is the link… you just at the two files to CD1 and CD2 and open them FIRST, and then the rest of the files… worked great for me and NO having to re-download it! XD hope this helps!

    FIX:

    Replacing the corrupt files:

    cd1:
    http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3595547/Children.of.Men.2006.DVDRip.XviD-LiNE-FIX.rar

    cd2:
    http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3595906/Children.of.Men.2006.DVDRip.XviD-LiNE-FIXCD2.rar

    Enjoy!!! :)

Yeah, but from what the NFO tells us the LiNE version won’t work on standalone players even if you download the fixed rar’s.
Can anyone confirm this? Did anyone try playing the LiNE version on a standalone player?

i don’t have a DVD/CD burner (don’t ask me why! LOL!) so i watch ALL my bittorrent downloaded movies on my PC “mediaplayer classic”… is this a “Standalone” player or not? if so then it works… if standalone player is something separate from the PC then could you explain what it is thanks! All i know is if you use the FIX i gave, it DOES play PERFECT on my player on my PC… both windowsmediaplayer and mediaplayerclassic… hope this makes sense/helps… :)

hmmm i have a DVD player that plays DVD, HDVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, VCD, SVCD, CD, CD-RW, and MP3 formats… would it play a DIVX and/or XVID coded DVD-R/RW??? just wondering… also, what exactly does DIVX and XVID stand for? Sorry for all the nub questions, but even though i’m into the “Scene” i’m not too much of a techie… :P i’m mainly just a movie fanatic… i go to see most big release movies on Thursday late(midnight)/early Friday premieres when i can, and then new releases every Friday afternoon since i’m off of work that day and then i hit the dollar theatre and finally buy at least 1-2 DVD’s or more every Tuesday afternoon! i’m a full blown movie JuNkIe! LOL! the only thing i like even remotely close as a pastime is playing the Call of Duty online multiplayer PC games which are: Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive and Call of Duty 2(which kind’ve sux because of all the cheaters *rolls eyes* *sigh*… well anyways… sorry for all the questions and long comment… its nice to see there are other ppl as fanatical or MORE fanatical about movies than I am! LOL! cya… ty for the info!

    movie 9
    video 9

Thx for this proper from HAGGiS but if your using computer to watch it then you don’t have to worry. Same with if you have a computer hooked up to your TV, it will be fine. I watched LiNE’s release all the way through.

I’m glad groups are keeping to scene rules. LiNE’s release doesn’t need to be nuked tho and it hasent.

I kinda enjoyed the movie, but it wasn’t as good as I expected after seeing that crazy scene in the forest when loads of people just pour out from the woods shouting and throwing molotovs.
I do agree on the HL2-vibes, I certainly got those aswell initially, but after they left the city the movie just went downhill for me really. And the ending was pretty sheit as well.

The torrent will not go past 94% for me…
and the video will not even work, I have installed xvid codec and ac3. I downloaded the torrent from ISOHUNT and it has 2 CD files rather that all the compressed files like this one

Just to let everybody know, some standalone DVD players do not play burned DVDs. Basically saying, they do not play any DVD-R or DVD+R discs. Here is even worse news: even fewer players play DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs.

Your best bet would be to purchase a standalone DVD player that you are sure can play burnt DVD dics and/or DivX format DVDs.
