So yesterday we had part one released on BluRay. Today REVEiLLE releases the nice second part to this movie. I’m looking forward to these and might watch it tonight :) . Che is a two-part 2008 biopic about Marxist revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Benicio del Toro. Part Two, entitled Guerrilla, focuses on Guevara’s futile attempt to bring revolution to Bolivia and his ill-fated demise.

In 1967, Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara resigns from his Cuban government posts to secretly make his latest attempt to spread the revolution in Bolivia. However, Che must face grim realities about few troops and supplies, his failing health and a local population who largely does not share his idealistic aspirations. As the US supported Bolivian army prepares to defeat him, Che and his beleaguered force struggle against the increasingly hopeless odds.

    Awesome movie. One of the most courageous and idealistic figures in history, forget what the neoconservatives and rednecks have to say about him.

    The description given by Vantec is perfect. Thats what the whole movie is about.

    This movie is not inspiring as one might expect and it is lengthy and detailed and sometimes boring. But if you like ideology of Che one will sit through it. See how he interacted with everyone senior or junior, elder or young, rich or poor.

    Personally I liked The Motorcycle Diaries better. This is a good movie, not great but good.

    I dont agree with communism or marxism. But Che was a person that made a different in life and history of mankind. Yes, he killed. And so did the people he killed. Yes, he was a fanatic. Then again, conservatives has never done anyting good for people. It is idealism and fanatism that changes the earth and leads to something new. Not always great, but hey… I`ll rather live in hell than live in vain.

    Kafka, are you serious?! This creep MURDERED people for looking at him the wrong way or saying the wrong thing to him or about him where he could hear it. One of the most famous things about him is that he had one village leader disagree with him in public, and in less then two days that person and his WHOLE VILLAGE WAS WIPED OUT right down to the last child!! Now tell me, exactly what was the problem with disagreeing with Che other then it ticked him off? And what crime did the other village members commit then living in the same place with the one that disagreed with Che? EVERYONE on this board would have been killed by Che as he brooked NO dissent NOR did he allow you to go against what he considered the party line and you consider this some kind of hero? Oh and What about Abe Lincoln and Churchill? BOTH were conservatives and they will be remembered LONG after Che is forgotten.
