Canon and the other pre-digital camera manufactures may cost a little more but repairs are less expensive. $200 is $200 and for a little more you can get a much better camera. I picked up a Canon A620 PowerShot with 7.1 mega pixels for $250. Now the camera was on sale and I am very happy with it. It also takes excellent movies and I have a 1 meg SD card. Remember the price may be right but they will get you on the repairs.
