C.C.Catch – Ultimate C.C.Catch (2007)

A Dutch/German pop singer Caroline Müller also known as C.C.Catch released yet another new album of her best hits. Called simply Ultimate C.C.Catch, this set of 20 songs features various remixes of most popular singles from this singer, who has her best days definitely over. It’s no wonder though, C.C.Catch was most popular in late 80s so this is music mostly for a slightly older  generation.

Caroline Müller was born in Oss (the Netherlands). She moved with her family to Germany in the late 1970s. In 1980 she was a member of the girl quartet “Optimal”. After that (starting in 1985) she collaborated with Dieter Bohlen under the name C.C.Catch. Dieter Bohlen was the driving force behind her records, writing and producing all the songs. This panternship led to a string of major Top 10 and #1 Pop chart hits beginning with “I Can Lose My Heart Tonight”, “Cause You Are Young” and “Strangers By Night” all released in 1985 proved to be major hits in mainland Europe.

    There was a gossip in Germany that she was a BJ champ and sucked Dieter Bohlen for every song he wrote. And considering Dieter Bohlen usually “wrote” 90-100 song for each LP, sure there is avideo around.

    The main problem is Dieter Bohlen who composed one ture and used that same tune for hundreds of time for many projects. :|

    c’mon, dudes, This is a remembrance of the good ol` days, what’s wrong with that? :)
    It made me grin again, when the last time we talked about CC Catch with a friend of mine and decided she was a lithmus test that we are getting already older than “cause we are young” ;-)
    It’s good to pay tribute to some tendencies, signifying whole periods of our personal and worldly music history. After all, even the lead zeppelins float again this year, right? Queen, anyone?

    Thanks for the release Martin. When I DJ-ed years ago I played some of these hits at the club. She was very popular back in the day, too bad some of the posters on here are so into themselves that they don’t care if others would enjoy this.

    If this was “high demand,” why not post Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue, Ken Lazlo, and all the 80’s Euro New Wave.

    Mmm…great. Another crap mainstream album to cheer us up. Let the Music Section die completely. It’s useless. There are far better blogs/sites out there that do a fine job even in promoting worthless material like this.

    @24

    Why you ask? Because if you take a look at the the music section in general, you will realize that is either filled with mainstream stuff that already everybody knew about, or with some crappy albums (mostly of the hip hop genre) that nobody should be aware anyway. It’s no weird that this section was rated so low in the regarded poll. People just don’t need to read for a millionth time about -for instance- Kylie’s new album.

    The number of ungrateful people who visit this FREE site still amazes me. There are 100’s of other torrent sites to get other stuff if it’s not on here. Give the staff a break!
