Cavemen is a new show that plays and expands on the hilarious GEICO Cavemen advertisements. It is created by Joe Lawson and set in Atlanta, Georgia. The series, produced by ABC Sudios, is currently scheduled to air beginning on October 2, 2007 on Tuesday nights at 8:00/7:00c on ABC, leading out fellow freshman comedy, Carpoolers. Cavemen was leaked to the internet July 27, 2007. This show is utterly hilarious. If you’ve ever watched the Chappelle’s Show, and then you would understand some of the jokes (the white-acting weather reporter). The Cavemen are parallels for blacks, or other races who face stereotypes and prejudices in present society (controversial or not - download it and figure it out your self) . They sure do a good job at playing fun at some of the racial tensions we face in society today. This show is on my ”must download list” this season, and is highly recommended for all comedy lovers. The only issue I noticed with the playback is at the beginning there is just black for about 12 seconds, then the show starts.
They have been around since the dawn of time, survived the Ice Age and witnessed the evolution of the Homo sapiens, making them one of the world’s oldest minorities. Keeping mostly to themselves over the millennia and living in remote communities, a small number of cavemen — and cavewomen — have been slowly migrating from these sub-societies and attempting to acclimate themselves to the Homo Sapien world. Needless to say, this has proven difficult.

The cavemen are parallels for Blacks and other minorities? What r u stupid or something? If you knew anything about history you would find that cavemen were of European descent when they migrated out of Africa.

When Mr. X says cavemen are parallel to blacks and other minorities he probably means in the smaller numbers, stop jumping on the bandwagon to catch Mr. X out.

This show does plug into racial stereotypes and some peoples attitude towards race. Although, it does point out that these attitudes are unfounded and based on ignorance.
Speaking as a Brit. I don’t think this show would go down well here in the UK due to it’s obvious stereotyping of race. It does have some funny moments but I don’t think it’s enough.
The preairs are very nice and appreciated.
This show however could have been left on the cutting room floor or or the brainless person who thought of this idea should have been fired and not given the green light. It was horrendous! There are many other shows that are better than this. It may not even make it to the second episode - Soo not worth it!! Yuck
yea, i caught this last night. jokes were a bit cheap, though i did have a few laughs..
don’t know if i’d actually watch this though to be honest, wasn’t all that interesting overall.
Just watched the show and it bored my socks off! Either this is American humor that is totally incomprehensible for non-Americans or it’s just plain bad. Sorry to say…

I feel a little silly that my hair is pretty much as long as the cavemen’s. lol. But anyways this show should be funny.
How anybody thinks that a show based on a comercial will be good is beyond me. Seriously this was doomed to fail before it even started, I will go on record now saying this is the first cancelled new show of the season, lasting a max. 3 shows.
