Binverse - get 14 days of free Usenet access!

Usenet is a not so popular method of obtaining new scene releases, but it’s actually one of the faster and more convenient. All you need is a NZB file, which is often linked with new posts here at Releaselog (or you can search the files directly as well). There are virtually hundreds of different Usenet providers, but if you want to try this service for the first time and enjoy some advanced functions, Binverse is a good place to start.

Binverse offers a completely FREE 14-day trial, to try their service. The service offers two methods of downloads – unlimited downloads capped at 1 Mbps or Full speed downloads with data cap of 30 GB a month. All you need to activate the free 14-day trial is to register and submit your credit card or PayPal details. You can cancel the service at anytime before the end of trial without being charged, or you can continue paying $14.99 a month for the service afterwards.

With Binverse, you can access over 5 new Terabytes per day of new files and messages. Binverse will also provide you with a special Usenet client with features as Usenet search, built in RAR / PAR support for dealing with large compressed files, intergrated chat, email alerts and many more. There’s really nothing to lose, if you won’t like it, you can just cancel it.

That’s why we made a partnership with a new real time subtitle search engine TinySubs.com. From now on, on every movie post, you will have link to subtitles so you don’t have to go through lot of crap and ad-flooded sites. TinySubs searches tens of subtitles sites in real time and bring you quick results. You just type in the name and prefered language and then your subtitles are one click away. I hope you will appreciate this new feature! If we see a positive response, we will consider posting subtitle links also for TV shows. Enjoy!

Hey guys, I am sure you know the feeling when you look for some download link just to finally find it and realize, the file has been deleted and you can’t use the link anymore.

I know this very well and that’s why I decided to code a small script to find all download links posted in comments under RLSLOG articles, check if they are still working and eventually delete the inactive ones. We will start with Rapidshare.com and I will later adjust the script for other filehosting services as well. I was really surprised by the results, even some links posted today are already deleted/blocked.

We are currently in the process of cleaning our database from those links, it will take some time (we have over 1.5 million comments!), but I believe this addition will improve your user experience with world’s first and still most visited release blog!

This simple application works as a pre database so it lists new releases pred by the warez scene. There is currently about 10 000 releases from different categories. The idea was to automate the process of adding information about new releases, which has been succeeded by adding 10 links to every release listed on that project.

The links are generated from Google and Yahoo search engines with the aim to be as related to the release as possible and they often include videos or trailers as well. The script also searches for images related to the release. Of course, you have the possibility to use the search function and RSS feed. As it’s a fairly new project, I just wanted to keep the design very simple and I plan to implement more features in the future. Give it a look and feel free to suggest any ideas in comments if you can think of something.

Update: the service was re-enabled today, enjoy it!

Just a quick post, we are back online on a new host after 2 or 3 days of downtime. It’s been just something over 1 month since similar situation occured, and although our previous host assured us there will be no problems, we got shut down anyway. I would like to say thanks to everyone who emailed me with help and recommendations about hosting offers, I can say we have a huge list of possible solutions in case we go down now. The main problem is that we need fairly powerful, above-standard server and it simply takes some time to get such a server online. Anyway, massive thanks to Ryan and Jason from 2c7, they took a great care of us and we are back online thanks to them!

This was caused by malware ad served by one our ad networks – it’s not really our fault as we don’t have too much control over the ads that are being served (and they are different for every user as well). Anyway, we are sorry for this and we are working on fixing it already in cooperation with Google. Thanks for all your emails noticing us about this issue.

LCHD brings on the HD glory with the 720p rip of the 1990 crime film Presumed Innocent starring Harrison Ford. Presumed Innocent is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, which tells the story of a prosecutor charged with the murder of his female colleague and mistress.

Carolyn Polhemus, an up-and-comer in the Kindle County D.A.’s Office, is found viciously murdered in her home. Immediately her boss, D.A. Raymond Horgan and his chief deputy, Rusty Sabich start an investigation. Horgan, however, is in the middle of a campaign to keep his job, which he ultimately loses to former subordinate Nico Della Guardia. Della Guardia and his new deputy, Tommy Molto, decide to prosecute Sabich for Carolyn’s murder when it is revealed that Sabich was a former lover of Polhemus. Horgan also turns against his former subordinate, and Rusty soon realizes he has few friends left – except for Sandy Stern, whom he has often faced on the other side of the courtroom, and who will become his new defense lawyer when he is put on trial for murder. Investigation by Stern and his team leads them to think that Rusty was framed for murder – by Molto, who wanted Sabich’s job and was trying to punish him for backing Horgan. Is Rusty Sabich innocent…or is he a murderer?
