Antonie Clamaran-Spotlight-(Proper)-2009-BFHMP3
Group BFHMP3 released a proper version of Antonie Clamaran’s latest album Spotlight. This fine collection of house music from Sony Music features 15 singles. Anyway, although it’s proper (previous version from group FSP had bad encoder settings), they made a mistake in the release name as well – the correct name of this French DJ is Antoine Clamaran.
Antoine Clamaran was born in Paris. In the early 90’s, his local fame interested Maximum FM, the leading parisian dance radio station at that time. Impressed by his mixing gift, Clamaran gained a huge audience and started to be booked for one off parties. But Palace headquarters (Palace in Paris is the NYC equivalent of Studio 54) asked him to run the mythical Gay Tea Dance every Sunday, instead of french icon Laurent Garnier.
In 1992 Clamaran, eager to get involved into production, teamed up with Laurent Pautrat. Their first Production “I’ve got music in me” by 400hz made him one of the most promising french producers. Released on House Trade Records, this track was licensed by BMG France and sold over 100,000 units.

As if the tremendous success of his sophomore album, Love vs. Money (the only project to get Nathan S.‘s “Near-Classic” stamp of approval thus far in ‘09.), wasn’t enough, The-Dream is hoping to clean up once again with the LP’s re-release, entitled The Hangover Version. On lead single Hit It On The Road, Dream clues the ladies in on just how versatile he really is, delivering rapped verses over Tricky Stewart‘s synth-heavy boardwork (once again). The-Dream’s bars will likely spur a debate among readers—is he cut out for spitting, or should he stick to singing? Regardless, fans will get to enjoy the best of both worlds on Love vs. Money: The Hangover Edition (which has no set release date) and his upcoming junior album, Love King (hitting stores and online retailers just in time for Christmas).
