Together as Brooklyn Academy, the trio represent a return to the original aesthetics of hard core hip-hop. Bored of Education, the group’s full length debut, is the culmination of a career at the forefront of the lyric driven hip-hop movement. A collective of emcees who have been holding down the microphone for over a decade each, Brooklyn Ac approach their craft with a love of the fundamentals of rap music rarely seen in the age of million dollar ringtones. The Verve - Forth (2008)

Seminal Britrock band the Verve release their brand new album, Forth, their first in 11 years, Monday in the UK.  FKK has it for you today.  The Verve are probably best known, at least, internationally, for their monster hit “Bittersweet Symphony”, and the resulting sampling lawsuit from the Rolling Stones.

The anthemic single,’Love Is Noise’ is included.

FredNukes - Deconstructing Fred (2007)

We’ve always been supporting independent movies and independent artists (see this post) and this is a great chance to let you know about another great indie hip-hop producer who deserves a bit of attraction. Frederik Laursen known as FredNukes is a Danish musician who released his debut album (in English), “Deconstructing Fred” in November 2007. It only came out in Denmark and Fred was unable to get it out in other countries due to a misunderstanding with his label/distribution.

I listened to few sample tracks at Fred’s MySpace and realized it’s pretty good. As we inform only about scene releases, it was a great luck that scene group SiQ ripped his album and pred it on the scene so everyone can download it. What’s more, the author is perfectly fine with that, so here you’re reading this post while RLSLOG works as a worldwide distributor of this fine release. Enjoy it, I’m sure many of you will like it.

Tracklist:

1. Forever Fred (Intro) 1:14
2. Conveys An Emotion 3:29
3. One Way Or Another (Priceless) 3:17
4. Keeping Up Appearances 4:37
