Now its not very often a Korean drama is released by the scene so I’ve decided to make a staff pick. I Am Sam is a great series with some big name Korean star such as T.O.P from the Korean boy band Big Bang. I Am Sam has a lot of funny moments also well as the heart touching moments sure to please anyway even us guys as I see we have a very large female base out there ;). Torrents might be a bit thin on the ground but I’ve included a text file with download links to all of the 16 shows.

The story focuses on the conflicts between the young teachers and the problems that high school students have. Jang Yi San is a timid and incompetent classical music teacher who has to teach the only daughter of a highly dangerous mob leader. Eun Byul is the mob leader’s daughter and she is also a new student at MyungMoon High but knows nothing whatsoever.

First there was darkness…, then came… the strangers.

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to say that these news are dedicated to a special friend I have made. Thank you, I really enjoy the time with you Now on with my post!

As u can see nothing good seems to come out of the scene, so I thought myself I might delight you guys with a Staff-Pick to pass some time. The sentence written in bold on top is the first line you hear, when you watch that movie. In front of you a pitch black sky with an ocean of stars reveals itself. Welcome to the Dark City!

I have chosen this movie, because I was always fascinated by the attempt to capture the word “infinity” into graphical elements and the creators of Dark City have done a damn good job. By creating the never ending, always changing city you empathize quiet a lot with John, the main actor, who on his attempt to flee the city is never able to find rest. The same counts for you, this movie has one of the shortest average shot lengths (ASL) of any modern narrative production at 1.8 seconds. There is a cut almost every 2 seconds. This means you never get to analyze a scene properly, because the picture always changes and except that, there is almost total darkness everywhere anyway…

Ahhh, they just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. I must have seen this one like a dozen times, and each time it’s pure fun all over again. It has everything, ranging from visual effects that were way ahead of their time (and still rock), an engrossing storyline, memorable one-liners from Bruce Willis and Chris Tucker, zany humor all around, to one extremely appealing Milla Jovovich. The futuristic feel of this film is just brilliant, as there are so many innovative ideas put together here and wonderfully executed. The cast is phenomenal, with Willis, Oldman, Jovovich and Tucker all shining in their roles. I highly recommend “The Fifth Element” to anyone, not just fans of sci-fi.

I’ve seen this movie many times, and I was about to turn it off during the first half, but it got way better towards the end. American History X is one of my favorite movies with Edward Norton (right after the Italian Job ), and I felt like posting it on here. There were many different releases of this movie, and this one was the only one that I found a torrent and active NZB link for, so enjoy!

Quality: As the tag says, this includes AC3 5.1 audio which is as great as it gets, and the video is great too. Nice and typical res, with a very high bitrate and Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish subs.

Derek Vinyard returns from prison to find his younger brother, Danny, caught in the same web of racism and hatred that landed him in prison. After Derek’s father is killed in the line of duty by a minority, Derek’s view of mankind is altered, but while in prison, he discovers that there is good and bad in every race. Seeing as this movie was not posted on here before, and we all know it should, I decided to take the liberty of posting. This must be one of the best and most moving films I’ve ever seen, starring Russel Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix this movie won 5 oscars and another 45 different awards! I’ve never seen the extended edition for some reason but I did see the theatrical cut many times, and it was good.

Quality: This release is 170 minutes long but FiNaLe did a good job with this one, 1012kbps bitrate and typical 128kbps bitrate for the audio. Also there was a problem with the original release so the repacked CD1 is included in both the torrent and NZB so no worries. Enjoy

The year is 1997. Al Pacino still makes great movies, Keanu Reeves is at his prime, Charlize Theron is hotter than ever. This quality Crime/Thriller brings them all together for an exciting ride. If you’re a fan of the genre, or any of these excellent actors, then you will thoroughly enjoy this one.

On a painfully slow day such as this, a staff pick from me is inevitable. This time, I chose to tell you about ‘Rounders‘. In the top 5 of every ‘best poker movies’ list, many think that this is the best poker movie there ever was. And I tend to agree. Almost every other movie about poker, that I’ve seen, portrays it as a game of luck and chance rather than skill and wits, and that just isn’t true. As Matt Damon put it so well: “Why do you think the same five guys make it to the final table of the World Series of Poker every year? What, are they the luckiest guys in Vegas?”. The movie is very well casted and acted out. It isn’t a feel-good comedy, and shows how life can bite you in the ass. Overall, ‘Rounders‘ is a must for every fan of the art that is poker, and an exciting watch for the casual viewer.

Synopsis: A law school student (Matt Damon) loses his tuition money and everything else he has saved in a high stakes poker game. Learning his lesson (he thinks), he vows to his girl friend (Mol Gretchen) to give up playing forever. Anyone in the mood for a violent, funny, innovative crime thriller that doesn’t take itself too seriously? “The Boondock Saints” is my definition of a good time. The conflict between an impressive 7.8 on IMDB by over 51,000 people and just 19% on RT must prove something. Is it that critics are full of themselves to the extent that they can’t accept a movie that doesn’t pretend to be anything more than just that? Maybe it’s just that the average viewer is able to perfectly relate to the idea of this movie? Anyway, I hope you will enjoy it. Quality of the release is very good, and samples are available.

It’s a slow Saturday and what better time to tell you about this cult classic crime thriller from 1993. Hell, just look at the cast. Can it get any better than that? If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a treat. If you have, well, you can always watch it again, especially in this Director’s Cut version. Oh, did I mention it was written by the great Tarantino?

We’ve had a great two days here with some top releases, but it’s been quite a slow Sunday and I thought maybe it’s time for a new pick. So, I present you with my humble staff pick to possibly introduce you to something new or at least give you a new topic for discussion. My pick this time will be appreciated by fans of Christian Bale the most. As evident by this film, Mr. Bale’s dedication to his movie roles are unsurpassed. He has gone down from 180 pounds to 120 pounds for his part in this 2004 film, before gaining it all back and then some for his buff superhero role of Batman in “Batman Begins” just a year after. Yes, the skeleton in the picture is no other than Bale himself. About the movie, it is a well received mystery thriller that has a very cool tone to it. This will be a great watch for open minded people who like the genre. For your viewing pleasure, I’ve added a torrent link for the HDRip along with the NFO. Heed this warning… this movie is so dark and dreary that it could suck you into deep depression. Without giving too much away, the movie deals with the consequences of drug addiction, knowingly or otherwise. It does it in a justifiably cold and ruthless way, accompanied by a chilling score. Directed by the brilliant Aronofsky (”Pi“, “The Fountain“) and acted out by a superb cast led by Ellen Burstyn, who was oscar nominated for her role, “Requiem For A Dream” is one of the best movies of the decade so far and is a must watch for all film buffs.

Synopsis: For his follow-up to his darkly brilliant debut, PI, director Darren Aronofsky chose to adapt a tough and meaty piece of work: Hubert Selby’s 1968 novel REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, a dark spiral into the abyss of barren fantasies doomed to extinction. This is a different sort of horror film.
