MHQ have released an iNTERNAL release of Scarface. I’m sure many have heard of this movie and are fans. I really loved this movie a lot. It has good action, a good story and great acting. The movie stars the great Al Pacino as Tony Montana, and Steven Bauer who plays Manny Ribera as they take the fast lane to the top of the drug empire in the early 80’s. I think this was one of the best roles Al Paicno has played, he’s is a great actor. This was released quite some time ago (Almost 2 weeks) but we somehow missed it and i felt i had to post it  and making it a staff pick as its another one of my favourite movies of all time! Total Recall is a 1990 science fiction with Arnold Schwarzenegger starring as Douglas Quaid, a construction worker who is haunted by a dream about a journey to Mars. He hopes to find out more about this dream and buys a holiday at Rekall Inc. where they sell implanted memories. But something goes wrong with the memory implantation and he remembers being a secret agent fighting against the evil Mars administrator Cohaagen.

In this spoof of STAR WARS and a handful of other sci-fi flicks from the 1970s and ’80s, space-bum-for-hire Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half-dog/half-man sidekick, Barf (John Candy), must… Against the wishes of his sexy blonde wife (Sharon Stone), Quaid goes to Rekall, a company that implants artificial memories, so he can “remember” visiting the red planet that is now being settled by human inhabitants. However, Quaid is actually an amnesiac secret agent from Mars or is he? Enemy agents led by a thug named Richter (Michael Ironside) start trying to kill him before Quaid remembers anything more. Let’s have some Keanu Reeves, shall we? CYBERMEN just released a PROPER version of one of my favourite movies in 2005, “Constantine”. (a PROPER to REVEiLLE’s HDDVD release in 2007) This film was based on Vertigo Comics’ Hellblazer comic book, with some plot elements being taken from the “Dangerous Habits” story arc (issues #41-46) and others - such as the inclusion of Papa Midnite - from the “Original Sins” trade paperback. As a bonus, CYBERMEN gave us DTS audio and many many subtitles (Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish). Pretty big size though.

PLOT: John Constantine has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldy events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost. Another BluRay release here and another one im making a staff pick Ive seen this movie so many times and still love it, i actually just watched it again about 2 days ago and its still brilliant. The movie is loosely based on the real-life events of Joseph D. Pistone, a FBI agent who infiltrated the Bonanno crime family, one of the Mafia’s Five Families based in New York City during the 1970s, under the alias Donnie Brasco. I highly recommend watching this movie if you havent seen it before, this is also the extended cut which runs for 20 minutes longer than the normal version, enjoy!

Joe Pistone (Johnny Depp) is an FBI mole who integrates himself into the Mafia pecking order by posing as “jewel man” Donnie Brasco. He finds his loyalties divided when Lefty Ruggiero, a jaded hit man, takes him on as a protégé and places real trust in him. The two men form a friendship and a criminal partnership that jeopardizes Brasco’s mission and obscures the boundaries between the law and the underworld.

Im sure almost everyone here has seen this movie or at the very least heard of it. American History X is about Derek (Edward Norton) and his brother Danny (Edward Furlog). Derek is a ex neo-Nazi who has been reformed after serving time in prison for the murder of two black gang members who were trying to steal his car, once released to prison he tries to stop his younger brother Danny from going down the same path he did. This is one of my faveourite movies which is why im choosing to make this a Staff Pick aswell Enjoy in 720p goodness.

Seems like OSiRiS are releasing many of the classics back to the scene as iNTERNAL releases, which is great for us as we can catch up with classic movies like these. Well here is Pulp Fiction. Probably most of you all know about this movie. Quentin Tarantino is a very talented director and i think this is his best work. OSiRiS releases a 2cd rip of the movie.

Pumpkin and Honey Bunny are two thieves who, while dining at a coffee shop, decide that the best thing to do is to rob it. Vincent and Jules, two hit men working for mob kingpin Marcellus Wallace, are sent to retrieve a very special and very mysterious briefcase for their boss. Vincent later must also show Mrs. Wallace a good time while her husband is out. Butch Coolidge is an aging prizefighter who is being paid to “take a dive”, but instead, accidentally kills him opponent, and tries to flee town, but not before getting his dead father’s lucky golden watch. These four seemingly unrelated stories are interwoven together in a non-linear fashion.

WaLMaRT releases a pretty good sport/drama movie. I watched this a few years back and i really enjoyed it, i also like the first one too. If your a football fan take a look at this to get inspired. It also stars an handful of professional footballers. There are currently working on the third movie, Goal! 3 which is set to be released this year. I don’t know whether this was released before, but i am guessing it will be nuked for dupe. WaLMaRT releases a nice 2cd rip of the movie.

It was only yesterday that i had watched this movie. Surprisingly it just got released. I wasn’t expecting a lot from this one because one of my mate gave the DVD, who has bad taste in movies. After i finished watching it, i really enjoyed the ride. It didn’t have any dull scenes in it, and the music was great.  The movie is directed by one of the best, Quentin Tarantino (who brought you Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill one and two and also Reservoir Dogs). It stars Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson, whom I like in his early work. Surprisingly Robert De Niro and Keaton have supporting roles in this one. If you like a good crime flick and like the directors work then take a look at this.

44 year old flight attendant Jackie Brown gets caught with gun dealer Ordell Robbie’s money and to get the ATF off her back she sets up Ordell with her new friend, a bail bondsman named Max Cherry. But what the ATF doesn’t know, is that they are part of her wild plan to get Ordell’s half million dollars and get off scott free. However, she has to do it under the noses of both Ordell, the ATF man and a local cop. What she doesn’t know is Ordell’s blonde beach bunny wants the money for herself as does Ordell’s ex-con friend.

In true Tarantino form, this film has a substantial amount of violence and profanity, though much of the violence occurs offscreen. Noteworthy was the casting of Grier and Forster. Both were veteran actors, but neither had performed a leading role in many years. Jackie Brown revitalized both actors’ careers, Grier’s to a greater degree. De Niro and Keaton were major stars, but were cast in supporting roles. The film is in some respects a homage to earlier blaxploitation films, many of which also featured Grier, and the movie’s soundtrack is reminiscent of those earlier films as well. It received critical recognition, with Forster earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and Jackson and Grier being nominated for Golden Globe Awards.

Last night SiNNERS released a Bluray rip of one of my favourite movies Groundhog Day starring BIll Murray. Back to Hollywood classic, shall we? All I know about this movie “Pulp Fiction” is that, Bruce Wills starred in it. A crime drama with a nonlinear storyline, the film is known for its rich, eclectic dialogue, its ironic mix of humor and violence, and its host of cinematic and pop culture references. The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture. Not a new release from SiNNERS, but still think it’s worth posting, enjoy!

Group BestHD brings us a BluRay rip of a great movie. When i first saw this movie i was probably too young and didnt fully understand it but then i rewatched it a few years later and absolutely loved it and now is in the list of one of my favourite movies, enjoy.

FIGHT CLUB is narrated by a lonely, unfulfilled young man (Edward Norton) who finds his only comfort in feigning terminal illness and attending disease support groups. Hopping from group to group, he encounters another pretender, or “tourist,” the morose Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter), who immediately gets under his skin. However, while returning from a business trip, he meets a more intriguing character–the subversive Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt). They become fast friends, bonding over a mutual disgust for corporate consumer-culture hypocrisy. Fight Club soon becomes the men’s only real priority; when the club starts a cross-country expansion, things start getting really crazy.
