MHQ have released an iNTERNAL release of Scarface. I’m sure many have heard of this movie and are fans. I really loved this movie a lot. It has good action, a good story and great acting. The movie stars the great Al Pacino as Tony Montana, and Steven Bauer who plays Manny Ribera as they take the fast lane to the top of the drug empire in the early 80’s. I think this was one of the best roles Al Paicno has played, he’s is a great actor. This was released quite some time ago (Almost 2 weeks) but we somehow missed it and i felt i had to post it  and making it a staff pick as its another one of my favourite movies of all time! Total Recall is a 1990 science fiction with Arnold Schwarzenegger starring as Douglas Quaid, a construction worker who is haunted by a dream about a journey to Mars. He hopes to find out more about this dream and buys a holiday at Rekall Inc. where they sell implanted memories. But something goes wrong with the memory implantation and he remembers being a secret agent fighting against the evil Mars administrator Cohaagen.

In this spoof of STAR WARS and a handful of other sci-fi flicks from the 1970s and ’80s, space-bum-for-hire Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half-dog/half-man sidekick, Barf (John Candy), must… Against the wishes of his sexy blonde wife (Sharon Stone), Quaid goes to Rekall, a company that implants artificial memories, so he can “remember” visiting the red planet that is now being settled by human inhabitants. However, Quaid is actually an amnesiac secret agent from Mars or is he? Enemy agents led by a thug named Richter (Michael Ironside) start trying to kill him before Quaid remembers anything more. Bullets and bone-crunching mayhem follow in large doses as Quaid heads to Mars to deal with mutants, ancient alien races, and Cohagen (Ronny Cox), a greedy capitalist controlling the colonists’ air supply, in an effort to remember his real identity.

Before “Terminator: Salvation” is shown everywhere in cinema tomorrow night (I mean in US), how about we have the previous 3 movies posted now? I don’t think I need to say more about Terminator franchise, so just check it out if you like. And BTW, boo to FOX for cancelling TSCC but renewed the stupid Dollhouse (no offense to dollhouse fans, just expressing my feelings).

Always liked these movies. Wanted to do this Staff Pick quite some time ago, but now I finally found the time to post it. Here’s the Triple X collection. The first version xXx, was released in 2002, and later on xXx 2, which was less good. It kinda blew since it was with Ice Cube to replace the original Triple X. Let’s have some Keanu Reeves, shall we? CYBERMEN just released a PROPER version of one of my favourite movies in 2005, “Constantine”. (a PROPER to REVEiLLE’s HDDVD release in 2007) This film was based on Vertigo Comics’ Hellblazer comic book, with some plot elements being taken from the “Dangerous Habits” story arc (issues #41-46) and others - such as the inclusion of Papa Midnite - from the “Original Sins” trade paperback. As a bonus, CYBERMEN gave us DTS audio and many many subtitles (Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish). Pretty big size though.

PLOT: John Constantine has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldy events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost. Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo Hellblazer graphic novels.

Another BluRay release here and another one im making a staff pick Ive seen this movie so many times and still love it, i actually just watched it again about 2 days ago and its still brilliant. The movie is loosely based on the real-life events of Joseph D. Pistone, a FBI agent who infiltrated the Bonanno crime family, one of the Mafia’s Five Families based in New York City during the 1970s, under the alias Donnie Brasco. I highly recommend watching this movie if you havent seen it before, this is also the extended cut which runs for 20 minutes longer than the normal version, enjoy!

Joe Pistone (Johnny Depp) is an FBI mole who integrates himself into the Mafia pecking order by posing as “jewel man” Donnie Brasco. He finds his loyalties divided when Lefty Ruggiero, a jaded hit man, takes him on as a protégé and places real trust in him. The two men form a friendship and a criminal partnership that jeopardizes Brasco’s mission and obscures the boundaries between the law and the underworld.

Im sure almost everyone here has seen this movie or at the very least heard of it. American History X is about Derek (Edward Norton) and his brother Danny (Edward Furlog). Derek is a ex neo-Nazi who has been reformed after serving time in prison for the murder of two black gang members who were trying to steal his car, once released to prison he tries to stop his younger brother Danny from going down the same path he did. This is one of my faveourite movies which is why im choosing to make this a Staff Pick aswell Enjoy in 720p goodness.

American History X is a profound and stirring drama about the consequences of urban racism as a family is torn apart by hate. A graphic examination of extremism in America, the film follows one man’s struggle to reform himself and save his brother after living a life consumed by violence and bigotry. Raging for retribution over the murder of their firefighter father and burning for a way to vent his rage, Derek finds himself transformed by a philosophy of hate. His incendiary actions ultimately culminate in a brutal murder and a prison sentence for himself.
