aAF brings us another drama and dark comedy movie from Australia.Finally, a movie that looks a bit interesting and from my city, i might watch when i get the time.

Actor Darren McWarren starred in soap, mini-series and film before destroying his career with a series of indiscretions. Now McWarren is out of the industry and living in a small town in Western Victoria he can do whatever he wants. When a journalist decides to write a “Where are they now” profile on McWarren, he finds the former star has become a modern day Errol Flynn. The local girls want to fornicate with him and their fellas want to fight him. He mightn’t have found love - but it’s the next best thing.

I hope this finds its market as I do not know who this was made for. Stay around after the credits for the final piece they tacked on where Darren McWarren speaks, it says volumes about the film and prophetically the Australian film industry.

Group WRD released a dvdrip of French family drama The Maiden and the Wolves few moments ago. The movie, originally called “La Jeune fille et les loups”, follows a life story of young girl who wants to become a vet. He accomplishes that eventually, after long struggles with wolves outside her village. French audio, English subtitles, standard  1 CD quality.

At the end of WWI, 20 year-old Angele is determined to become the first woman veterinarian. Her life is an adventurous one and she becomes the object of ruthless rivalry between the man she is supposed to marry, a visionary but unscrupulous industrialist, and a simple man who has withdrawn to the mountains to live among wolves, away from the madness of humans. Angele exploits this rivalry to attain her real goal: saving the wolves.

A not exactly famous scene group SmokeyMcPot released a dvdrip of Danish drama Eye For Eye few moments ago. This low budget action flick depicts a tough life of Danish immigrants. Audio is mostly Danish with some parts in English, but there are English subtitles attached for the whole movie. Classic 1 CD rip.

K, a young refugee, finds himself alone in Denmark, no friends and no family. All he has is a troubled memory of a religious warzone. The Lost Treasure of Ugarit. - Jack Hunter (Ivan Sergei), an adventurous treasure seeker, goes to Syria after his mentor and father figure Professor Fredrick Shaffer (Sean Lawlor) is killed. Professor Frederick Shaffer believed that the people of Ugarit, a town in Syria that existed during the Pharoah’s reign, had buried a treasure before they were wiped out by the Pharoahs. Jack Hunter is one of the few archaeologists in the world who can interpret Ugarit writings, however he never bought Frederick’s belief of a hidden treasure. Before he was killed, Frederick had discovered a clue that would prove his theory was true. We follow Jack to Syria where he meets Nadia Ramadan (Joanne Kelly) the Ministry of Archaeology for Syria. Nadia thinks Jack is only coming to Syria to steal their historical artifacts and sell them to the highest bidder. She and her co-worker Tariq Khaliff (Mario Bassill) accompany Jack Hunter on his quest to find who killed Professor Frederick. During their travels, Jack discovers that the treasure is in fact real. Jack, Nadia and Tariq are caught up in a chase thru Syria, Egypt and Turkey trying to find the lost Treasure of Ugarit before Albert Littman (Thure Riefenstein) gets it for himself and the Russian mafia.

Otis is a 2008 direct-to-DVD horror-comedy directed by Tony Krantz. It is the fourth Raw Feed horror film from Warner Home Video. Well, I don’t really like horror-comedy, coz when “horror” is conbined with ”comedy”, I just fell kind of weird. Anyway, CiNEFiLE pred this HDRiP today, just to see if you like it or not.

PLOT: Suburban America gone haywire. In the midst of a serial abductor/killer’s rampage, a beautiful young teen, Riley Lawson, goes missing. The Memory Keepers Daughter is a drama movie released to us by group CoWRY. i don’t watch drama movies so i cant say much, but the quality is standard 1CD.

On a snowy winter night in 1964, Dr. David Henry rushes his pregnant wife Norah to the hospital, where, with help from her husband and nurse Caroline Gill, she delivers their son Paul. However, Dr. Henry discovers that his wife was carrying twins, and helps her deliver the second child, a baby girl named Phoebe. Shortly after Phoebe’s birth, he finds that she has Down Syndrome, and hands her over to Nurse Caroline, explaining that the death of his ill sister nearly destroyed their mother and he doesn’t want Norah to go through that. Instead, he instructs Caroline to take Phoebe to a nearby institution for the mentally ill, figuring the child won’t live much longer, and tells Norah that Phoebe was a stillborn. However, after visiting the institution and seeing the state of the other patients, Caroline takes the baby home with her, stopping along the way to buy formula and diapers. With help from a truck driver named Al, Caroline begins to raise the baby as her own, while Dr. Henry develops an obsession for photography after his wife gives him the gift of a Memory Keeper camera.
