Here’s another fine movie to add to the HD collection starring Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt in a fairly old thriller; The Devil’s Own. The ratings are rather low on both IMDB and RT because a lot of people felt that the cast had greatly affected the plot of this movie, which may be true as Harrison Ford got the supporting role next to Brad Pitt, so decided for yourselves if you want to watch.

Quality: Pretty standard quality for a 720p release; AC3 5.1 audio and a nice bitrate of 4891kbit/s for the video.

Well I think there is no need to introduce this movie as its a classic adaptation of C. S. Lewis’ novel, and its here in some kick ass 720p quality! This movie won an Oscar and was nominated for 2 others along with many other awards, which you can check out here. Not many of you will want to wait to download this whole release as its mainly a movie for children, but the quality sure is nice.

Quality: For a movie 143 minutes long I don’t think it would even be just to rip this on DVD5, so don’t complain because of the large file size. The bitrate of 7320kbit/s is just pure sweetness and the AC3 5.1 audio is just as damn good .

Based on the 2nd in the series of books by ‘CS Lewis’ , “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” the film tells the story of 4 children who go to live with an old professor during the war. One day, while playing hide and seek, Lucy, the youngest of the children, finds a wardrobe which leads to a magical land called Narnia. However Narnia is being ruled by the evil White Witch who has made it snow for 100 years and according to an old prophecy, Edmund, Lucy, Peter and Susan are the “chosen ones” who will defeat the Witch. They are assisted by the true ruler of Narnia, the lion, Aslan. With the good Narnians on their side all 4 children must now defeat the witch using all their strength and fulfill their destinies to become the new kings and queens of Narnia.

Well the guys from Chakra have done something really amazing by releasing the 720p version of National Treasure 2, and that is allowing us to burn their releases onto DVDs and play them on PS3s/Bluray standalones in 720p quality!!! Now we don’t have to bother streaming this to our HDTVs from your PCs, or watching this on straight from the computer, just burn and play. I never thought that DiVX players would be replaced by just simply using your regular Bluray player, but I guess I was wrong now wasn’t I. Of course this got nuked as this type of encoding is nowhere in the scene rules, but hopefully the 2008 HD rule set will make this a must . Read the NFO to get more info on how this is done, and how to burn/mount.

Quality: Judging by the sample and the bitrate, this is one sweet release. AC3 5.1 audio is included, and although its not DTS, I think we can live with what it is. A crap load of subs are included as well, so that’s a very good thing.

I don’t think I’ve seen a 720p rip being released on the same day as the DVDRip, but its finally happened! I saw the R5 literally two days ago and I’m pissed off about that as this HD version would look so much better on my 40″ TV, but I’ll just see this as well . If you haven’t seen this movie already, I highly recommend you do as the plot is pretty damn good and it doesn’t seem like one of those typical hacker movies where they do things that we just know to be impossible, and the graphic deaths in this one also make it a good watch.

Quality: Too bad the audio is only AC3 448kbps instead of DTS 1509kbps or something, but hell who am I to complain? Video quality is great with a great bitrate of 5748kbps, and as usual, no subs.

A secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are - both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an “untraceable” website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies.

An unknown to me group BoNE have released this fairly well rated thriller with John Travolta and James Gandolfini in some kick ass 720p quality, and as the BluRay hit the stores today, we get this pretty fast. The plot sounds very interesting for this movie, and with a tagline of “Love can be murder,” this movie sounds like one hell of watch.

Quality: Great quality as expected from a 720p rip; AC3 audio and a nice and crisp video bitrate of 5147kbps make this one worth a download. English subs are also included, which is something that we usually don’t see with HD rips.

In the late 40’s, the swindler Raymond Martinez Fernandez seduces lonely women to steal their possessions. When he meets the deranged Martha Beck, they fall in love for each other. With the jealous Martha posing as if she were his sister, the crook Ray seduces and kills other women. Two New York Detectives - Elmer C. Robinson and Charles Hildebrandt - chase the sociopaths, but without having the evidence of a body. In the end of 40’s, the couple is finally arrested and sentenced to death, being electrocuted in March, 1951 in Sing Sing.

I think we all know about this movie by now, and although many would agree with me that a 720p version of it is useless, there would be some to contradict that, so here it is. With the precision of an experienced group such as REFiNED, there is no need to worry about the quality of this release, but the 2.5 rating on IMDB may steer many of you away.

Quality: Well like I said, its what you’d expect from this group; AC3 640kbps audio and nice and crisp 720p video with a bitrate of 5746kbit/s.

Durell and LeeJohn are best friends and bumbling petty criminals. When told they have one week to pay a $17,000 debt or Durell will lose his son, they come up with a desperate scheme to rob their neighborhood church. This cheesy-named Romance flick is now available in peachy 720p quality, thanks to group REFiNED. You’ll probably get this if you’re like me, and can’t stand how DVDRips look in comparison to HD.
