DoNE have released a DVD screener of a limited film called “Shermans Way”. Sherman’s Way starts with two strangers forced into a road trip of convenience only to veer off the path into a quirky exploration of friendship. The film has won a few awards at a few different movie festivals so could be worth a look. Enjoy.

I’m sorry, I just though this name was interesting, which made me post it. Directed by Phil Claydonis, “Lesbian Vampire Killers” is a 2009 British comedy horror film which stars James Corden and Mathew Horne. Standard 1-CD size release from group DoNE, quality is DVDSCR, really good IMO, check out the sample by yourself.

PLOT: The movie revolves around two down-on-their-luck slackers, Fletch and Jimmy — played by Corden and Horne — who decide to temporarily escape their woes and go on holiday to a remote village, only to find that all of its women have been enslaved by lesbian vampires due to an ancient curse. Things go further awry when they hook-up with a bus-load of attractive foreign female history students and run in to the local vicar (played by Paul McGann), who seems to think that Jimmy (Horne) is the long lost descendant of a local vampire slayer.

Scene group ARTHOUSE released dvd screener of Bulgarian war drama Zift during last night. This release has Bulgarian audio and hardcoded English subs. The movie has a very decent rating at IMDB and won numerous film prizes as well. Quality is standard on 1 CD.

“Zift” is a genre mixture of neo-noir and sots-art. The story unfolds in one night. Moth is freed on parole after spending time in prison on wrongful conviction of murder. Not a scene release but i thought it would be well worth the post but im sure we will see a scene release soon.  My Bloody Valentine is a remake of the 1981 Canadian horror film with the same name. I saw this movie in the cinema and thought it was alright, nothing special though just your average hack and slash horror film. Quality wise its not the best DVD screener that we have seen but its definitely decent and watchable, there is also a watermark down the bottom in the middle of the screen and looks like its there for the whole movie not just in parts like most DVD screeners. The DVD is due for release in a few weeks so those who are too picky might want to wait a week or two for the DVD rip.

The season of the DVDSCR are well over. Now we might a get a few if we’re lucky enough. ELiXER, a pretty new scene group, yet a promising one releases a DVDSCR of The Gray Man. This one is a pretty interesting movie, the movie is a biographical thriller film based on the actual life and events of American serial murderer, rapist and cannibal Albert Fish. I recall watching and reading a lot about him and now i am surely gonna watch the movie. Sample or NFO does not show any type of watermarking or blurs.

A dedicated detective tries to capture Albert Fish, a serial killer who abducts, abuses, kills, and occasionally eats children, leaving no trace behind. Will the obsessive manhunt across several states succeed in apprehending the killer? Albert Fish, one of the earliest known serial killers of 20th century America, is the subject of this movie. A true cannibal. Compared to Albert Fish, Hannibal Lecter was a saint. Yet, this is definitely not your average horror movie. If you crave gratuitous violence, you ‘d better look elsewhere. Rather, this is the story of the hunter versus the hunted. Albert Fish leaves clues at the crime scene that the detective must follow. Soon enough, this is getting personal, a veritable clash of personalities.

We have a DVDScr just released by the BaLD guy. The movie’s name is “Last Chance Harvey”, is a 2008 romantic film starring Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, set in London. It was directed by Joel Hopkins from his own script. I don’t know much about the movie, but you can check the video sample to see if the quality is worth your watching. It’s a 1CD standard size release.

PLOT: New Yorker Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) is on the verge of losing his dead-end job as a jingle writer. Warned by his boss (Richard Schiff) that he has just one more chance to deliver, Harvey goes to London for a weekend to attend his daughter’s wedding but promises to be back on Monday morning to make an important meeting — or else.
