Another film appeared yesterday by group JAVLiU that releases decent x264 DVDRiP’s. This time the DVDRiP brings the film starring Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson that released in 2006. I remember I went with some friends to the cinema to watch this and I was disappointed that I went, I had expected more. Another good movie by PFa. This one is a New Zealand production and is very good rated and many good reviews all over the internet. IMDB and RottenTomatoes recommend this movies to everyone! I suggest you to watch it if nothing better to do. Enjoy!

Two days ago PFa brought out 2 internal releases. Sneakers seems to be a good movie that has to make with “Hackers”. Robert Redford stars in this film back from 15 years ago. I have never heard about it but I’ll check it for sure cause I like all things that have to do with computers. Many of you will have already seen this and some other have already download it. The 4th DVDRiP that came out by AXIAL earlier is “Dracula” starring Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins, Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves. A well rated movie that won 3 Oscars back in 1993. I don’t remember seeing this movie but I think it should be very good once all reviews say that. People who like “Dracula” movies and have missed it, here you go. Enjoy!

Vlad the Impaler (Gary Oldman), a count and fierce warrior, goes off to fight in the Crusades. Falsely hearing of his death, his beloved wife Elisabeta kills herself. Upon returning home and finding her, Vlad renounces God and becomes Count Dracula, embracing Satan in exchange for immortality. Flash forward to 1897 London. Jonathan Harker (Keanu Reeves) leaves fiancée Mina (Winona Ryder) and journeys to Transylvania to meet Count Dracula (Gary Oldman) to complete a real estate transaction. After seeing a photo of Mina, whom he believes to be his wife reincarnated, Dracula keeps Jonathan as a prisoner in his castle while he travels to London to meet his long lost love.

In his version of the oft-told tale, Francis Ford Coppola takes Bram Stoker’s archetypical horror story and accentuates the romantic angle. Blood still flows in large amounts, and Coppola opted to do all the eye-pleasing visual effects in-camera, utilizing shadow puppets, smoke, miniatures, and other time-honored tricks of the trade–creating a visual style not unlike that of a storybook come to life.

Another oldie came online by AXIAL a few hours ago. “Thief” with James Caan. For me the isunknown but maybe for some of you it’s really known. I would like to hear some suggestions of you about this film so we can help out our fellow readers that haven’t seen this film, me included. Enjoy!

In Thief, James Caan plays Frank, a professional jewel thief who wants to marry Jessie (Tuesday Weld) and settle down into a normal life. In order to achieve his dream of a family, Frank–who is used to working solo–has to align himself with a crime boss named Leo (Robert Prosky), who will help him gain the money he needs to begin his domestic life. Frank plans to retire after the heist, yet he finds himself indebted to Leo and he struggles to break free. Thief is the first feature film from director Michael Mann and it seethes with his stylish, atmospheric direction. Though his cool approach may put off some viewers, it’s a distinctive and effective story-telling approach, and Caan’s performance ranks among his very best, making Thief a crime movie like few others.

A movie that many people saw and many hated is Cocktail starring Tom Cruise. Almost 20 years ago Tom Cruise starred in this romantic comedy of the 80’s. I remember me seeing this film years ago as a child, so I don’t think it’s worth it to watch it again. But some people who might be “Tom Cruise” fans or want to re-watch this film, this is a very good release by AXIAL. Enjoy!

What’s better than posting on Releaselog after a night out and waiting one hour till going to work. AXIAL brought again 4 decent old films and this first one stars Al Pacino. The movie is good rated, looks interesting and I haven’t seen it, so that it’s a good opportunity that AXIAL brings to many of us. The quality is a very good DVDRiP like all the releases this groups brings out. Enjoy!

Shot on location on the crime-filled streets of New York City, Sidney Lumet’s unflinching adaptation of Peter Maas’s best-selling book is a rousing portrait of courage in the face of insidious corruption. This is a motif that Lumet would continue to mine in later films, including 1981’s PRINCE OF THE CITY and 1997’s NIGHT FALLS ON MANHATTAN. Al Pacino is forcefully real as Frank Serpico, an independent young recruit entering the police force in the late 1960s, fulfilling a childhood dream.

The good old boys of the NYPD lose no time in initiating Serpico into the ways of cutting corners, forging documents, and taking payoffs from local gambling operations and narcotic rings. His refusal to take illegal protection money and his counterculture lifestyle make Serpico a target for harassment by his unified and powerful peers. Lumet hones in on the evocative details of Serpico’s personal struggles and inner turmoil as his obsessive fight for truth begins to have disastrous effects on his personal life and threatens his safety. SERPICO is a stellar example of gritty ’70s filmmaking, featuring another electrifying performance from Pacino.
