The De Lorean - it’s a large part of geek and pop-culture. The venerable ‘time-traveling’ vehicle from the Back to the Future trilogy, a time-machine built into a DMC-12. The DMC-12 featured gull-wing doors, stainless steel panels, and a monocoque underbody. The underbody is affixed to a double-Y frame chassis, derived from the Lotus Esprit platform. Three very special editions of these cars were made, fabriqued in full plated 24-karat gold. The third and last gold-plated De Lorean is currently for sale at the price of $250,000. In the documentary here, BBC4 takes a look at the the life and death of the Delorean car plant in Belfast, which crashed and burned amidst a flurry of cocaine, bankruptcy and fraud. The documentary is an hour long and weighs in at 1CD, or 700MB.

I used to have a Delorean. I used it to timetravel all over the world’s history. I shot Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, John Lennon and all them niggas. Then when i was trying to kill the dinosaur to extinction running them over with my Delorean, a T-Rex smashed the car with his dong!!!

i watched this about a month ago, definitely a very interesting doc. probably the best of all the delorean ones i’ve seen.

ok, anyone else have problems with this? I downloaded it, extracted it and ran it with MPC. I had audio for like 5 seconds and then nothing. No audio for the rest of the damn show. All my codecs are updated and installed correctly. can one of you admins or mods give me a shout out…?
edit: Zoom Media Player works fine. dunno why MPC wont work though…
