As an avid fan of BSG its awesome to see the world that existed before "The Fall" and the introduction of Cylons is really interesting

Ignore what littletinypenis#5 says, its really very good ^_^

And plus you get to see Bill as a kid and follow what his dad/lees grandfather got up too

Pilot was good. After watching the pilot a lot of small small things from BSG now makes seance. Like the concept of "one true god" that cylons believe in.

I was ready to like this before I watched so I may not be the best to comment…but I will. Looks like it'll be a pretty cerebral show…maybe too much so for Action fans but necessary. Was anybody else surprised by the naked chicks in the V-Club? Just wonder if that will carry over to the US version of the show (probably not). The pilot has me wanting more!

    So..
    I watch it.
The story is telling us about the creation of the first Zylons. It's different vom Battlestar Galactica but thats ok
this way. We will lern more about the other Colonies. Unfortunately we wont have any Actors from BG.

    In my opinion highly watchable.

Thank you DOT, i have no problem getting rared or zipped files from Hotfiles, so i got this just fine, but my question to you or anyone who knows the answer, why can't i download .avi files from hotfiles? I have a premium account and still cannot get avi's from them unless they are zipped. It makes no since to me why i can't.

The Virtual Was Good. But, the story was Dragging and Boring . Say what you want David Icke Is Boring , He and His Soap opera Cracking Ways. This is For Old People Who want to go to sleep early.only a Fake BSG fan Would love This . As for I , I Stick with the Original Series This And The Last One before this , was TRASH. the late 70's one was the best No matter how you put it. The ones from 2009 and 2004 and up is more like Galactica 1980 ,now that was Boring . Zzzzzzzzzzz they will never make Quality Shows again, this is for the Mush Brain

Thx #14. Why aren't there more people posting usenet links + NZB's, they are the fastest (at least for me). On my 20mb Cable broadband i get 2.4mb/sec download rate. 715mb film in just 5 mins and with GrabIt, its checked, fixed, unpacked and all unneeded files deleted for me… Can't get better than that !!

    @#30
    That is your opinion.
I know for a fact that it is hard to accept a recreation of one of your favorite shows/books/etc.
Just try to keep an open mind and remember the fact that it is a recreation, not an updated reiteration of the original.
If you really and truly try to keep an open mind, and you still feel it`s awful, then come back and tell us why you think so. (Not just, "It can`t compare to the 70`s version.")
I personally thought this pilot was slow in the beginning (other than the surprising nude scenes – which btw, I wonder if they can air that on the Sci-Fi channel), but it picked up towards the end. Looking forward to the next episode.
Also I`m a little confused on the timeline. Isn`t this supposed to be set 50 years before BSG? Then how did the Cylons become the 13th tribe that went to First Earth? Did they, in that 50 year span, create Cylons which were that close to humans, create an entire civilization, then destroy themselves, and have the Final Five escape, create more Cylons, and then come back to Caprica? Confusing.

@38 the cylons on the 1st earth were always there as far as i can tell. they invented resurrection but not jump drives and this was thousands of years before the events of the show. they travelled to caprica at sub-lights speeds (but almost the speed of light) and due to time dilation only a few years passed for them while a couple thousand passed on caprica before the 1st-earth-cylons got there, while the cylon was underway. they swapped ressurection to the other cylons for them to stop the war.

@22 : I haven't been able to unzip the files? Is anybody else having this problem?

  36. jbondsr
    April 15th, 2009 | 15:28

    @39
But how can they have always been there?
They said in the show that the 13th tribe from Caprica were Cylons, and that they went to 1st Earth. Which was why when they got to 1st Earth in BSG and did autopsies on the remains they found, they turned out to be Cylons.
Is it that they made Cylons (human-looking-type) thousands of years ago on Caprica, then forgot about it? Then the final five came back to Caprica, and joined up with the new Cylons (machine-looking-type)?
And now, "Cylon" just became a general term for beings that are not human?

I'm not sure man im too much of a stoner to be able to explain this well. Wikipedia and the BSG wiki is a great source of information… I'm also confused as to how to the 13th tribe ended up being all cylon… Im certain that they didn't create them on caprica though. maybe Kobol? I'll have to look more into it.

    April 15th, 2009 | 16:01

    Nevermind.
I just read a few BSG wikis.
Cleared everything up. Cylon just came to be a general term.
And the Original 13 tribes were from Kobol, left for a new star system which includes planet Caprica, Gemenon, Tauron,etc.(13th tribe left for 1st Earth). Final five came back to Caprica, and helped the new machine like Cylons. (Also they created the new hybrids [like the sixes] and ressurection technology.)
Only thing left that bugs me is that when they did a flashback of what went on on 1st Earth, it didn't seem like they knew they were artificial. I guess the final five figured out they were artificial, and could be brought back to life using resurrection technology, but it was already too late to share with their kind on 1st Earth?
