"My music" is totally of the early 90's genre (soundgarden, pearl jam, stp, tool, e.t.c.) and these guys have made a true rock album that trancends their time and makes you feel like you're back in 1991 - good times! Anyway, there are so many old acts that have been resurfacing and the majority of them have been disappointing, but imo these guys did an awesome job and made a solid album that you can listen to start to finish, which I can't say about most new stuff out there today. The songs are dynamic, and have that grungy, heavy guitar sound mixed with some impressive lead guitar, melodies, and outstanding vocals. Fans of the early 90's music should definitely download. People who grew up in the 'numetal' or post-grunge phase just might not be able to appreciate this remnant of the last we heard of 'real music,' since those days have long since past. The first single "Stand" is a rocking anthem of a tune that shows candlebox still has it both musically and lyrically. Peter Klett's guitar work has never sounded better. Making the guitar solo's fit perfectly into place in each song is not easy, but Klett does it effortlessly. Not only is this album a companion to their self titled debut, but it goes on experimental heights in it's songwriting. Songs like "Breathe Me In" and "Consider Us" actually seem like a progression for the band in different musical directions. Candlebox might have a few more albums in them after all.
