Just released another highly anticipated game, Call of Duty World At War and yes of course its out for the Xbox360 first as usual so PC users wait a little longer :P Ive been playing the multi-player beta for this online for the last week or two. I must say its pretty good, if you liked CoD4 you’ll most likely love this one, they are pretty similar since they both use the exact same engine (Except this ones set back in old world war II :D).

Call of Duty: World at War throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored experience of the climatic battles that gripped a generation. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players will employ new features like cooperative gameplay, and weapons such as the flamethrower in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.

Building on the Call of Duty 4 engine, Call of Duty: World at War thrusts players into the ruthless and gritty chaos of WWII combat like never been before, and challenges them to band together to survive the most harrowing and  battles of WWII that led to the demise of the Axis powers on the European and South Pacific fronts. The title re-defines WWII games by offering an uncensored experience with unique enemies and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning cover tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through all new cooperative gameplay.

    They are about the same if you use a program like IDM

    of course multiplayer sucks.. as this game was not developed by those guys who did cod4 but by another team (whose cod games all sucked @ss)… thats why this game is called cod w.a.w., NOT cod5, as cod5 will be released by those guys who made cod4… so just ignore this game, for multiplayer - stick with cod4 and wait for the REAL cod5 !!

    Well the aiming and movement in this game is sluggish and unresponsive compare to cod4. Im gonna skip this one just like i did with cod3 and wait for cod6(the real deal)

    download this game, but don’t buy it since it’s crappy, only Infinity Ward can give us good games… even if the gameplay of cod4 was worse that the one of cod2.

    So a question people… when it’s PAL, and region free, is it any different than NTSC version?

    I assume that there’s no compatibility issue, online or otherwise, correct?

    god f**king d**it so many 360 games recently and this one the one i want the most. crappy ps3 i have to wait and pay a fortune for all these! cheaper to buy a 360. i am left out with all these new releases!

    @2 and 3 about Mirror’s Edge:
    I really like the creativity, trying to come up with something new and original to the gameplay. But somehow I have the feeling that the game won’t live up to the expectations (not my kinda game anyway). I don’t think it’s going to be top-notch state-of-the-art. I wouldn’t be surprised if it only achieves something between 70-80%.
    (I’ve read also, exclusive testers from game magazines were frustrated by the high difficulty level.)

    @23 have you even played this game yet?, it is exactly like cod4 put with more features and obviously its set in WW2. Dont bash based on what you think instead give it a try first, you will be surprised.

    @24 I dont know about you but the gameplay is exactly the same, i left cod4 at the top of my game every round normally 40kills 10deaths, jumped on the beta for the first time - 40kills 10deaths. As stated above you WILL be surprised.

    I downloaded cod5 from this source above, i’ve played it offline with live disconnected up until 12th november. i couldnt resist playing on live so hooked it up. I played for around 6 hours and was then console banned by microsoft. i thought that cause it was released in the US as region free then i could play it in the UK, as the US version was released on the 11th Nov. Figured microsoft would presume i purchased a US - region free copy. Theory did not work. How stupid am i. I’d had my xbox modded for a year up until now. :( What a dumb ass,.

    mate if you have the latest iextreme firmware then you dont need to worry about the bad kreons,it has been proven that a worn out laser at the place where original discs are burnt can cause bad kreons,so microsoft has accepted the fact that they cannot ban people looking at bad kreons(iextreme overcomes that problem also,so it is impossible that you were banned if you are using the latest firmware)if you are using iextreme 1.4 and thats 99 percent that you played it before the release date,hope that gives you an idea what to do if you plan to buy a new console

    yeah i replaced my console the same day and flashed it with i.4 iextrem.
    This version of cod waw is good, i verified it with abgx360 first and have been playing online since the 13th with no porblems. I now believe i was banned due to playing bad copies of fallout 3 and sr2. now before i play any games online i make sure they pass all tests on abgx360 and verify and so far no problems. :)

    i am uploading games and i play them first and check them to make sure they all pass the tests on dvd mulleter and abgx360 and xboxbackupcreator also and i upload them afterwards.i wish everyone would care about each other that way we could be a step further preventing some bans
