Zogby-Rasmussen-Time Warner-Gallup and over 300 other polling businesses have all shown that well over 50% of the country (and INCLUDING people that voted for this creep) would not vote for him in the general election if they knew then what they know now. Only reason the economic downfall didn’t happen in the 90’s (Clinton days) was due to the start-up and consecutive boom of the WWW (95).
It was well known that what is happening now, was going to happen sooner. But after the boom of trillions of dollars getting spread around, it was easily forgotten.
Also policy’s were put into place to inflate housing, where Clinton wanted “everyone to own a home”. This created the recipe for the housing bubble by making sub-prime loans normal operation procedure, and artificially inflating housing prices by as much as 3/4.
This kept troubles at bay… for a while and with the new housing bubble on top of other lending bubbles… That were ok’d by the gov’t and then exploited by lending giants, We just fell even harder.
It’s pretty much a combination of past D and R policies that were enacted over the past 50 years. The biggest slap to the face was “saving” the very people in the corporate world who assisted in making/exploiting this mess (AIG and crew).
If my company goes into the red, is the govt gunna use tax dollars to save me? Of course not, we are just little tax paying peons to both Democrats and Republicans (two sides of the same coin).
