Burn-SKIDROW

Here’s just a quick post about a new FPS shooter Burn released by kind of lame group SKIDROW (which is usually releasing those budget titles or games without a protection like this one). You would have problably certain problems finding this game in the local videogame store, but discounted section of some shopping store could have it. The game focuses on multiplayer (looks a bit like Quake, but Quake is 11 years old), but its unattractive graphics won’t imho attract many players…

Burn is a First Person Shooter. It is aimed at multiplayer battles, but single player can also find entertainment in a battle with bots. Maps designed for maximum dynamics of game-play, five types of characters and seven powerful weapons (each with alternative fire mode). Lots of bonuses make the game even more fun to play. Complex and realistic physics engine base on improved ODE (Open Dynamics Engine) makes the environment vulnerable to destruction and ragdoll makes death of characters more realistic.

Game features:

  • Dynamic game-play
  • Interesting arenas
  • Unique weapons
  • Advanced AI
  • Multi player and single player modes
  • Dynamic music theme
  • Graphics improved by a modern technology

    @R1pper

    yer, it appeared to be somewhat like UT from 1999 to me too. I just love that game (and the MODs availlable). Its lightweight and very much fun as LAN Multiplayer game. Though this looks kinda similar, I might give it a try. ;)

    I have been playing the UT3 Demo, it is pretty cool I must say :D !
    And it has multiplayer – something a downloaded copy most definitely won’t possess. Gah… Still, the mindless FPS is kind of boring looking for multiplayer.

    I personally want to save my money for something more dependent on a
    valid copy – eg. a new MMOG. Maybe !

    Skid Row a lame group? Well I assume the only one who is lame IS YOU Martin. Skid Row is the legend and best group in years 1989-1994. They were releasing hits like Lemmings, Monkey Island, Indy 4 and much much more. The only group they can be compared with is Fairlight and Paradox. Well tell me these groups are lame too?

    Stalker – He is always judging people, without any knowledge to groups, the scene, games, and what not.

    @ Stalk3r
    New SKIDROW has nothing to do with old elite one. Don’t act like fool telling new SKIDROW is legendary group.

    http://pnmedia.gamespy.com/planetquake.gamespy.com/fms/images/quake/332/1148035333_fullres.jpg

    and is was Quake released June 22, 1996. if you think that this and a game released 11 years later looks the same I sorry to say this but you need to get glasses

    your saying that this game looks like THE MONSTER QUAKE who needed like 50-75 MHz to RUN?!?!?!?!

    Give me a breake… you cant compere the graphics of the first true ever 3d game and with one that comes 11 years later…

    this one was bad but all other i have no complain about so check some facts next time but keep up the good work ;)

    this game looks worse than quake
    the game installer is the worst iv ever seen
    even if its only 400mb there are much better things to do than spending 30mins-1hr downloading and installing this P.O.S

    But there’s one failure in your comment: Quake 1 was not the first true 3D game. Descent was :)

    Don’t call them lame, it’s good that there are groups that releases minor games aswell… If they wouldn’t, who would…

    all games deserve to get out even if they are not the best… And if you don’t want the game don’t download!

    @zim
    By real 3D SMek meant to say REAL 3D, not sprite based 2.5D (like Descent is). Quake was the first game to use OpenGL and real 3D levels, characters and objects, the first fully 3D game.
