@36 ilovemovies: I tried CCCP a long time ago but went back to K-Lite, don't remember why. Everything you say about CCCP fits K-Lite also, except it doesn't come with Zoom Player. Also K-Lite seem to be updated a lot more frequently. What is it that make you say CCCP is better? Not saying you are wrong, just give me a good reason and I might give it a try again.

To those who liked BS Player for hotkeys and quickjump. These things are in MPC also.

also u dont need to install Media Player Classic separately as it comes bundled with the cccp codec installation.also the mpc is the latest ,Media Player Classic Homecinema (MPC-HC).Preferably MPC-HC or Zoom Player are installed by CCCP. These were tested and configured to work smoothly out of the box. Any player that is basically sane and uses DirectShow works too .a list of media players that work with cccp codec pack- http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=Media_Players .BSPlayer has an almost uncountable number of bugs in it, the short answer is that almost all playback is broken .Media Player Classic ,using the version included with the CCCP, there are no problems with playback (however, if you use a standalone version, you may get into trouble, since it can decide to use its default settings, enabling all the internal filters)

When will BSPlayer ever fix the video overlay problem in Vista that conflicts with the Aero interface? Useless if you're on Vista, okay if you're on XP.

There is no single video app that handles every format right. VLC does a reasonable job as does GOM and KMPlayer - but none of these have good decoders for MPEG2 on Vista.

On the other hand, PowerDVD, WinDVD, and MediaPlayer 11 don't do much except DVD. How about just one good video app for Vista that does it all (MKV, H264, DVD, XVID, MOV, etc)!

I can't blame anybody but Microsoft for not including a decent MPEG2 decoder in the Vista operating system. Just completely stupid - as is Vista.
