Me thinks that VLC is the most popular player….but that’s just me….BS Player looks a little wonky IMO =/

    C´mon, guys!
Why not to try GOM Player? It is free and it does exactly the same as BS Player… and you don´t need to be compelled to update it constantly ;)

VLC is better in every aspect to both GOM and BS, aside from memory usage. However unless you are using a PC that is outdated by 10-15 years, it wont be an issue. VLC is FREE, requires no codec install to play DVD’s, and is more feature heavy by far.

VLC has problems handling some x264 files, and BS player is BS….

I especially hate the interface, it looks like a Skoda pretending to be a Porsche.

I use KMplayer or MPC media player classic+codecs which are both free.

    :D

GOM Player is pretty cool too… consume less RAM than BS.

MPlayer or mplayer frontends like SMPlayer 0.5.62 -works on both Windows and Linux ,one of the better media players. Played everything i tried on it. Nice interface, easy to use.also media player classic+ CCCP codec pack is also good.Media Player Classic and GomPlayer were, IMO, at the top. However both had issues handling subtitles in movies, resulting in frame skips occasionally. SMPlayer has not had this problem .

Are VLC/GOM able to play movies without unrarring them yet without having to install another piece of software? If not…don’t care. Neither one have anywhere near the amount of features BSPlayer does. Media Player Classic? Jesus…that thing is like 15 years old.

KMPlayer has better & nice-looking interface than VLC, just that it is not updated as frequently as VLC. However, I’ve been using the last stable release of KMPlayer for almost a year w/o facing any glitches. A very solid product, highly recommended.

KMPlayer is WAY better than BSPlayer ! And remember it’s also free and has it’s own codecs too, also the best .MKV player around too ! Forget this crap!

Must agree that so far KMPlayer is my fav media player. Been using it for more than a year and never had any any problem with any type of file or codec. A ton of extra options, post processing filters for audio and video, had vmr9 support for more than a year and is totally free.

    GOM screws up 5.1 sound
    VLC screws up subs

Gonna give KMPlayer a shot and maybe test MPC :)

BS..used it a long time, but updates, mem and not complete codec-cover made me throw this away!
