@60 good to see some Americans like the movie too. Contrary to the opinions expressed by some, most Brits know that Americans are a pretty varied bunch and not all as ignorant as the types pursued by G/Borat/Bruno. We have a lot of dumb ignorant people in the UK too, check David Beckham!

I'm British. English, a Brit… whatever you want to call me. Its a time-proven point that Americans have a different sense of humour to us lot. There aren't many of you who get the Office, or Monty Python, or Fawlty Towers, or many of our seriously funny National institutions. Compare films like Shaun of the Dead, Love Actually, Clockwork, Wimbledon etc. etc. and the frequency of these films to the sheer amount of movies dealt out by American studios, and the variance in comedy styles. More & more movies are taking on the awkward, cringing hunour we Brits enjoy daily taking the piss out of each other over a pint. As far as I'm concerned, we are leading the way with humour, and Americans are doing a fine job at keeping up i.e. The Hangover, Fanboys, Stepbrothers… and to be fair – you ought to take a look at Irish humour, because everyone has got a long way to go to beat it (The Commitments, The Van). In essence my good men… humour is like most things – its objectional, relative and as varied in its audience's taste as the cooking of a steak for patrons. Everyone's different, mate.
