“Magic” will be a welcome arrival for long-time Springsteen fans for whom “The Rising” is the only album of new songs featuring the entire E Street Band since 1987’s “Tunnel of Love.” Springsteen broke into the rock and roll mainstream with the classic “Born to Run” in 1975, and solidified his place as a mega-star with 1984’s “Born in the USA.” “Magic” will be the 24th album from Springsteen since his recording career began with 1973’s “Greetings from Asbury Park, New Jersey.” During that time he has won 15 GRAMMY awards and one Academy Award, for the song “Streets of Philadelphia” in 1994.

Don’t download! This cannot be 224kbps avg. At least the source can’t be. It sounds crappy! Have analyzed the tracks in GoldWawe, and there’s practically no dynamics left, so the source of this release is at best questionable.

    The music however, is great.

OK be happy about this - I am a huge Springsteen fan his body of work means the world to me - but this, this album is poor in craft. Be it melody or lyrics it is really poor and the treatment on the vocals at times is a waste of tape see Girls In Their Summer Clothes… From a huge Springsteen fan to another this is a dud it will grow but melody chorus wise it has nothing…

Great to have the Boss back. Too bad he turned into a liberal crybaby, but maybe this album will start moving him back to his Born in the USA pinnacle.

Well … I’ve been listening to Bruce for THIRTY-FOUR years (my god I can’t believe it!) and I have one thing to say about this album. IT SUCKS!

Come on Bruce. You’re supposed to be the Rock n Roll man. Give me one more great one before both of us kick the bucket.
