Gearbox’s third entry in the venerable Brothers In Arms series heads up to the front as with the first of the series for next-generation systems.     i get a general protection fault on both copys clone and reloaded with the crack from the reloaded copy and using
    deamon tools pro
    is it possable both copys are fake put out by the company
    i have tried all combininations the clone with the crack the reloaded one with the crack and both of the in deamon tool
    and they just don’t F_____________k work

    I installed the game for the fourth time, I have tried with an IDE Drive and Daemon PRO Advanced, I have tried with Gamecopyworld’s and Nakquada’s cracks, and in every case I have the general protection fault error. This is the kind of thing that would have happened if I bought the original game, but I can’t understand what’s missing.

    did you install the game on supported os?
    cause it says “Supported OS: Windows® XP SP3/Windows Vista® SP1 (only)”

    when i open the game file with power iso there is no binary or install file as far as i can see there is only the crack ,redist, directx, physx, vc80, support, manual and reister folders. i just clicked on the main disk on the left hand side of power iso and dropped the crack in there could someone tell me if im doing this worng. and has anyone actually got this to work with the crack provided with the game

    you are doing it correctly 209. The problem is that when you drag over the exe file windows should prompt you with a screen thats asks you if your sure you want to overwrite file. Clearly theres something here because this option isnt prompted. Therefore the crack cant be a genuine one !

    Massage for “Duffle Bag Boy”.

    Men, i download you files from yabadaba.ru (super fast) but when i use winrar to unzip the .iso file one massage appears “pasword incorrect”, the problem is that i copy and paste the password that you give. Other problem is the massage appears when winrar go to 100% not at the starts of the unzip. You understand me? Sorry for my english…

    @210 cheers for the reply but i am promted to overwrite it when i click save and it seems to do that fine its just i get the insert write dvd/cd and it give me a link to securecom website. i’ll keep playing around with it and let you know if i get it working could be just a dodgy crack like you said

    I’ve checked the crack posted on Gamecopyworld (scanned it with Kaspersky/Superantispyware, seems safe to me) and the game worked ! Nice game !

    Dunno, i’ve installed the Reloaded version posted on 69 by v (the one with “areg” password”), on Vista Ultimate with SP1 with the 178.13 NVIDIA drivers, checked the crack provided on gamecopyworld, replaced the original exe, and everything worked well. I tried with daemon pro, the thing didn’t worked.

    Crack,fixed image,everything gives me general prot fault….Gives me faults n addresses in the exe file and in kernel32.dll and ntdll.dll files….says filename not found in those files…so…computer wizards…reply with a smart response here…got all updates for Vista(yeah i know…it might be just as simple that i got vista)

    You guys are lucky. I couldn’t even get it to install. It extracts everything and seems to be installing properly, but when it’s done, the install wizard just disappears and I find an empty folder instead of a nice install directory.

    I may not have enough space left on C: in case it extracts temporary files there first. So that may be the cause. Not sure though.

    Any thoughts?

    Oh, and this is with the clonedvd. Haven’t tried reloaded’s release.

    on xp with sp3
    just got on to about the forth or fifth level and im
    getting crashes now but wont know if its
    knacked or just needs a rebbot till i do
    and ive a film to finish first

    @ 218 – I’m getting the same.

    Anyone tried the links @ 222 ?

    I’m hoping they’ll be a fixed EXE soon. Meanwhile, I’m going to try the latest GFX drivers from the nvidia but this is a long-shot, as it would seem there’s an issue with the crack at the moment.

    my problem is probably that i got Vista…Tried installing XP the other day but for some reason it crashed after it copied the files to the hd…tried it on 4 different versions…oh joy…but i think its too bad securom and the other protection companies are winning the battle against the crackers…ahvent seen a crack where the prot is removed in a looooong time…they only circumvent it,,not remove it..which sort of is the purpose of a crack

    ATTENTION:

    I tried every way possible to get daemon tools and the correct crack to work. Every time I either got general protection faults or daemon tools wouldnt work. So seeing that my computer needed reformatting anyways I went ahead and reloaded Windows and BAMMO it works both ways now.
    In retrospect i believe the culprit was either an nvidia nforce4 chipset update or some kind of software or something that kept things from working…If I think back maybe it had something to do with changing Securom keys in the registry at one point in time to be able to play something but this was the first game that was affected ever this way. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE. I Cant wait to Play. Thanx everyone for uploading cracks,originals, and otherwise!!!!!!!!!

    Admin: Please remove all those download links, lots of them are virusses.

    For everybody who can’t get it working in XP do NOT download the cracks just follow these steps:

    1: Download http://www.disc-soft.com/download/daemon/free
    2: Install it, reboot if needed
    3: Right click on the new icon (daemon tools)
    4: Go to emulation and turn ON securom.
    5: Left click on the icon, press on the empty drive
    6: mount the mdf or mds, depends on which works for you.

    This should work. Spread the word.

    I suggest to use the crack from gamecopyworld.com or the mini-image from there.

    I did a comparison between the crack provided here – the crack only with the virus / trojan in it – and the one from gamecopyworld. The latter is about 500 KB smaller, so it is different.

    The only “harmfull” thing it did when I started the game was to try to open a server port. I denied it and so should you. Guess it’s the game trying to “call home” which is not a good idea unless you own the original. ;) I always deny it because when I don’t play online I don’t want the game to go online. Got some bad experience with Rainbow Six Vegas a few years ago which stuttered because of an online connection…

    Otherwise this crack works.

    But I really wonder why the staff guys around here haven’t erased their faulty crack, yet. O_o

    Oh and buy the game! I did but I always use cracks because I don’t wanna play disc jokey. :D

    Weird how so many people have trouble installing the game.
    Had no problems at all to get the game running.
    Downloaded the files from post 10.
    The crack is from post 134. (looks clean)
    Using DAEMON Tools Lite. v4.30.1
    XP pro sp2

    Got it up and running on first attempt and it still does.

    Ok i have a problem here…the dude who posted one of first links-dwyane…tenth post…i downloaded the game unrar it…and it extract me mds and mdf…i Mounted on DAEMON TOOLS LITE 4.12.4 mds file but it pop up a error that sais “invalid image file”…then i downloaded alcohol and did the sam e thing like on daemon but…the sam e thing..ERROR…so can anybody HEL me !?

    I ha d the same problem with Woldshift, try to download Daemon lite version 4.30.0302, it worked for woldshift, it will read the image file.

    Upgraded to SP3, same general protection fault error. I formatted a month ago, so that can hardly be the problem. And I’m using the latest nVidia drivers. I have no idea how to solve this.

    To run the game:

    1. Install Daemon Tools Pro Advanced
    2. Go to virtual drives – add Virtual IDE Device.
    3. Click the “SecuRom” switch to add it to the drive.
    4. Select new vIDE drive – “Mount Image”
    5. Browse to directory. Select image.

    N.B – if .mds file will not mount select “*.* – All files” under file types, and then mount the MDF instead.

    Run game, and enjoy.

    Tested, works 100% – NO CRACK NEEDED.

    i’m using vista ultimate sp1,I installed the game with the crack from GCW and the game worked just fine.. maybe you guys should install the game on vista ultimate sp1 just like I did.
    I installed the game just like other game,and no problem at all….

    A question for those of you who get the “general protection fault” error. Did you get that nasty trojan in some moment of the past? Because I did and, despite having solved that two weeks ago, I wonder if it screwed with important Windows files.

    I have same problem as others (Vista SP1), thing is i install game, tried crack, also mounted image, but nothing works.. it says it cannot found nvcuda.dll & stops responding.. its weird cause i have ATI not nvidia card.. what could be the problem? I WANT TO PLAY!!

    Ah…forgot that i tried the damn crack with the virus at first….it messed up the windows installation…not at home right now so wont be able to try but those that get the general protection error…please…try to reinstall Vista..i think that will fix alot of peoples problems right now…not thanks to the poster though who put up the crack and havent even posted a response on his own post..

    anyone on vista or xp still having issues starting brothers in arms should go to nvidia.com and download the latest nforce motherboard chipset drivers. this worked for me.

    The general protection fault is a graphics problem its a Nvidia PhysX error
    i downloaded new Nvidia drivers 178.13_geforce_winxp_32bit_international_whqldrivers
    and new PhysX_8.09.04_SystemSoftware drivers
    Installed them and the game works

    Upgrading my rusty 175.19 for the 178.13 let me see the splash logo of the game, then the screen went black and my computer rebooted.

    I bought a new motherboard a couple of weeks ago, a Gigabyte X48T-DQ6. It’s not explicitly a nVidia motherboard, if it is at all, so I don’t know if I should install the nForce drivers, or which I should install in that case.

    Anyway, this is the right road. Good job.

    You have to install the PhysX_8.09.04_SystemSoftware drivers too
    Or you could look for a NVCUDA fix and put the dlls from it in to your
    Windows system32 folder

    I had a problem three months ago with a game (don’t remember wich one it was), the default protection error kind of thing, dunno why, but it stopped after i had blocked the game in my firewall (outpost). Outpost was tracking the game’s activity, and so Kaspersky did the same on the same time with both the exe and the firewall’s log.

    Sweet computer stories !

    In Vista, might also be the fault of the UAC.

    @69 V “FULLY WORKING” download,unpack,mount to virtual iso, install,extract the virtual iso files with magiciso and copy crack exe to binary folder of Hells Highway.It’s sooo easy thanx V (areg) P.S there was no pass needed.

    Fresh install of PhysX, Firewall blocking output from the game, and still rebooting the computer. Either this is a very good protection system or something is extremely badly programmed.

    just downloading latest nvidia drivers, as reinstaling of just physX to latest version didn’t work.. if that doesn’t help, i’ll report, and if it does work i’ll try to remember to report, after i play the game a bit :)

    Something else must also create the problem. I upgraded both the nVidia drivers and the PhysX ones, but it doesn’t work. Maybe upgrading the motherboard chipset will help, although I doubt they have a new one. This doesn’t make sense.

    Working great here on Vista 64-bit SP1 but I’m not too sure I like all the tactical stuff. I’d much prefer a run-and-gun option. Guess I’ll go back to playing Crysis Warhead for a while.

    261 are you sure you have a nvidia graphics card and not an ati card
    if its an ati you have to update those drivers and the PhysX
    drivers

    @ Unkwnow : like i said before, try to install daemon tools lite 4.30.0302 and mount the image file with it (the Procyon image).

    I had this problem with a previous version of daemon lite, with worldshift, saying it might be corrupted. 5 minutes later with the new version of the soft, eveything worked.

    Give it a try.

    #252 & #260 method works
    i uninstalled physx and nvidia drivers
    used driver cleaner both for physx and nvidia
    restarted
    installed 178.13_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe
    restarted
    installed PhysX_8.09.04_SystemSoftware.exe

    and the game is working, no gpf error

    playing on winXP SP3 and nvidia 8800GT, smooth on max resolution/quality

    really nice game, i like it very much so far but I was expecting better graphics sometimes even though they are pretty good for unreal engine 3.

    I like the gears of war alike cover system and the switching to 3rd person while youre in cover thats pretty cool :>

    ahh and btw I downloaded it via rapidshare (post #166) and used the first link of post #202 for the crack both worked great.

    @262 “unknown” use magiciso virtual drive load the game then copy crack exe into Hells highyway Binary folder by extracting the iso folders marked “crack”. Don’t bother running the game untill you have done this or you will get the error message.

    just copy and paste the crack from Reloaded iso to the installation\binary file and no need for anything else(key dont just move it to folder I right clicked on crack and copied it then pasted it)

    Downloaded the rld 6g rip put on to pc using daemon tools then used the crack from the iso “works great”. scanned the crack with nortons, malwarebytes and superantispyware pro and all clear

    It’s Working gr8….use the gamecopyworld crack and make sure ur system meets the minimum system requirement …… it’s working perfect:-
    # Very colorful environment
    # Slow although in comparison to other FPS games
    # Disable help to make game more interesting
    # Increase the mouse and visual sensitivity for faster reflexes
    # Awesome soundtrack

    I am experiencing a weird issue…

    The game was running perfectly but when starting the chapter where the rain falls “the fewer …something” graphic becomes corrupt…

    I’m running it on Vista x64 , HD4850 . . .

    tried switching between cat. drivers but that didn’s solve it.. If anyone has a 100% save game file could you please up it so I could continue with the next chapter…
