    soft subs mean they aren’t directly on the video they run through vobsub and other such programs. also they can be turned off.

    @blake
    any chance of more Hong Kong movies?

    i’m so sick of people telling me that hollywood movies are the only ones they watch.

    there are so many things that hollywood movies borrowed from film industries all over the world. esp. Hong Kong.

    you still see resemblance of Brace Lee in so many of the fight scenes and the departed is actually an adaptation of a Hong Kong movie called Infernal Affairs

    i know all this cz i study fine arts with cinematography major XD

    December 9th, 2007 | 20:18

    @30
    agree with u
    The HK version “Infernal Affairs” is many times better than the hollywood version….
    Leonardo acts like a rookie in comparison with Tony Leung.

    December 9th, 2007 | 23:08

    An easy way to have this cool movie runnning with english subtitles :

    - Download VLC Media Player there : http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
    (if you do not know yet this awesome piece of software, give it a try !)

    - Unpack the movie and the subtitles files in the same directory

    - Open the AVI file in VLC Media Player

    - Right click on the movie screen, go to the subtitles sub-menu and choose your favorite language

    And I can’t read Korean…

    just downloaded it and the subtitles file finally works using Fulgence instructions but you have to:
    1. play the sub file using vlc player, don’t worry if nothing happens
    2. close vlc player
    3. play avi file using vlc player, this time on the video menu you will see options to activate subtitles (chinese or english)

    Hope this can help.
