    This is the first time I've watched a full season of BGT. And I must say, it pisses me off how they have it set up.

    First they pass a bunch of people, then after they decide who are truly passed? That doesn't seem very nice or fair. Completely wasting those peoples time and getting their hopes up.

    Second, why the hell are so many people eliminated? A semi-final shouldn't be the first voting competition. There should be a series of shows where only a few people are voted out by the public, just like on American Idol. Allow it to create sort of a tier of talent, and allow people more exposure and chance to show off their talent. It really, really annoyed me that so many good people were eliminated right from the first round.

    They already have an idea who is going to win from about 5 or so acts, the rest are put through for novelty (/variety, rather than loads of good singers) purposes, so simon cowell can critisize them and get a laugh etc

    Kakkoii, I agree that the elimination rounds are far too condensed and rushed but this isn't the US we're talking about either (Where they'd drag it out long enough to make their ad revenue)…It should be split up a little better than it is probably but I think it still would be pretty hard to compare so many different sort of acts with one another.

    I mean, how does one really compare a singer to a dance group?

    As long as "that Voice" wins I dont care. I just hope that someone at the Recording companies is listening to Susan Boyle's voice. To turn that down is damn near as stupid as the twit who told the beatles that they would not stand a chance and to go get a job in a factory.
