Brief Encounter 1945 720p BluRay x264-SiNNERS

We’ve been getting a few good classic/high rated movies re-released on BluRay. This movie, Brief Encounter which was released in 1945 is a romantic drama which I vaguely remember watching. Nonetheless the movie was nominated for three Oscars and is on the top 250 movies listed on IMDb. SiNNERS release a nice 720p rip.

Brief Encounter is a 1945 British film directed by David Lean about the mores of British suburban life, centring on a housewife for whom real love (as opposed to the polite arrangement of her marriage) was an unexpectedly “violent” thing. It was directed by Lean and stars Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard. The screenplay is by Noël Coward, and is based on his 1936 one-act play Still Life. The soundtrack prominently features the Piano Concerto No. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, played by Eileen Joyce.

On a cafe at a railway station, housewife Laura Jesson meets doctor Alec Harvey. Although they are already married, they gradually fall in love with each other. They continue to meet every Thursday on the small cafe, although they know that their love is impossible.

    I still don't see the point of releasing these old movies on blu-ray.(except greedy corps asking the grand prize for them)

    A truly great film: Howard and Johnson and brilliant, and David Lean indicates why he became a titan.

    @2

    I think many people dismiss the quality of prints just because they're in B&W, but some of them are just as good if not better than material produced today! They're especially good if your a old film connoisseur!
