Breaking Bad S02E11 DSR XviD-RRR

And I thought RRR is an MViD release group, here they brought us the scene release of “Breaking Bad”. If you are not like me, who would only care about scene stuff, you can totally ignore this and get that HDTV P2P stuff :)

EP 2.11 Mandala

Saul suggests a new business partner. Skyler discovers something shocking at work. Jesse tells Jane about his job.

@18: Yes, it is really nuked.
    @19: http://www.rlslog.net/nukes/
bad.ivtc, no.ivtc – quite a common nuke reason which affects mostly lower-quality releases. IVTC means “inverse telecine” and it’s basically a process of converting a movie (usually PAL) with high FPS (30 frames per second) to lower FPS (for example 24) in order to save space and offer better image quality. This conversion often goes wrong (bad.ivtc) or completely lacks (no.ivtc, lazy sceners)). As a result, the image appears to be jerky and the final release uses too much space for no reason.

So anyone has a logical explanation why this show doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves? Lazy just doesn't seem to be viable.

I think whoever makes these things have ganged together does it on purpose to annoy all the Breaking Bad junkies ^_^. An Internet cartel hoax or summit…..

We must be ever so indebted to this crowd of nuke-sayers.

Me, fool that I am, finished the RRR d/l from RS and have watched the avi. I must be so bad, so over the hill, so square even, and yes, klutzy – it looks normal to me. Just as well these eagle eyed young kiddies have told me its nuked – otherwise I would have carried on enjoying it.

  33. noq
    May 18th, 2009 | 23:17

If you are used to the regular HDTV scene releases then NO, the quality is not good. In fact it is rubbish and makes the show look like it was shot on a cellphone camera.

  34. Mega-Links.net
    May 18th, 2009 | 23:30

    @37 thanks

and i just watched it and unless your playing it on a 200inch tv the quality is ok, not perfect – a few blocky bits, but hey unless your keeping it in your HDTV Purists collection for the next 50 years so you can show your 2 mates how wonderfull the quality is and discuss frame rates and resolutions until zena comes on its watchable.

Not as if its the greatest show on the box anyways,

    May 18th, 2009 | 23:40

I envy these people who can't tell the difference between an HDTV rip and a DSR or PDTV job. They're happy and unfussy. For those of us who notice a really top quality SD rip from an HDTV source ("Boy Meets Girl" would be a good example), the crap we're getting with "Breaking Bad" is a real pain in the proverbials.

  36. fubarsmurf
    May 18th, 2009 | 23:44

thank you very much uppers, cappers, and posters.
the quality will do just fine for me and probably the rest of the breaking bad junkies out there. poor quality is always better than nothing.
    cheers.

  37. chelmsley
    May 18th, 2009 | 23:48

Never had any complaints on quality.. never thought about it till you just mentioned it. The only thing i wanted high quality rips on was Galactica.. the rest dont bother me.

  38. Quality is ok
    May 18th, 2009 | 23:48

Yeah seriously we're not talking aboout a cam or telesync -quality on the level of a new movie. If you're not a stickler for getting the best quality only (in which case you should always wait for real HD) then this is good enough quality.

  41. Mark
    May 19th, 2009 | 00:44

Someone mentioned that AMC broadcast this with a "no copy" flag. Anyone know what that means, can you not DVR this show? Seems sketchy.

    May 19th, 2009 | 01:01

yeah if i was an elitist audio/videophile i'd envy people without crippling OCD too. people really think they deserve the best of something they're not even paying for?

  43. TVG
    May 19th, 2009 | 01:16

Unwatchable even in a tiny window. Anyone that says it is needs glasses. Unless a better release comes out, I'll wait for the DVD. I would never disservice such a good show by watching it at this quality.

I just downloaded the first part to test and it's still bad quality compared to what we should expect. If there's no better release in the next week then I'll just have to go with this DSR crap

@51 When I got home Sunday night I tried to watch it from the DVR. The first time I tried it, the box shut off and rebooted. The second time I got a "We're sorry, this show is currently unavailable" message. I was pissed off to say the least. The 1AM rebroadcast recorded just fine though.
