Brand Upon the Brain 2006 DVDRip Xvid-VoMiT

Second new good-looking release from VoMiT is a drama “Brand Upon the Brain”. A little experimental movies adds some sci-fi elements and you can expect vampires and similar stuff as well. 95% at RottenTomatoes should be an enough proof of quality.

Guy Maddin (Sullivan Brown) reluctantly returns to his childhood home, an abandoned Canadian island, where his parents ran an orphanage. As Guy fulfills his dying mother’s request to paint the lighthouse which served as the orphanage, memories of strange events there overpower him. An undercover investigation by child author/detective Wendy (Katherine Scharhon) and a revolt by the repressed children, blew open a cover-up by Guy’s parents. Wendy disguised herself as her brother Chance and discovered that Maddin’s inventor father performed outré scientific experiments on the orphans. In black and white, with title cards, plus narration by Isabella Rossellini. In the film’s opening weeks, some showings included live narrators (such as Crispin Glover, Lou Reed, Barbara Steele), an orchestra, a castrato, and costumed sound effects techs.

    spidermonkey,

Files ending a sequencial series of numbers, such as .001, .002, .003, etc, are split files. You use a joiner program such as Mastersplitter or HJSplit to join them.

Well, now I know a few words that are not banned.

PooPoo, Vomit, Jizz…did I miss any?

Not trying to churn up trouble, I agree some people need to refrain from leaving comments (”Lee-Lee-Lee, La-Lee-Lee-Lee, I’m talking f*cking Lee”). Its just, most people have a funny bone, I have a anti-Censorship bone.

This does sound like an interesting release, too bad so sad I only speak the English.

This is mistagged, it’s not a true DVDrip since the retail DVD is not out yet.

Source is probably stolen from a pre-retail DVD leaked to p2p 2 months ago already (KG)

Having said that: the quality of the source is very good so this rip will prolly be OK too (if the scene kidz didn’t f*ck it up)

After skimming though, this movie looks terrible. It’s a bunch of nonsense piled on top of nonsense, the homage to silent film isn’t even done well. Stay away.

IZarc works well for all these split files. http://www.izarc.org/
