A relatively active new group AMIABLE pred this movie “Boy A” several hours agao. The movie is adapted from a famous novel and it got amazingly high 8.4 score on IMDB. I’m to watch it later. Another good thing is that AMIABLE also contains a subpack for us. Great! 
PLOT: Jack (Andrew Garfield) is released from prison, finally, at the age of 24; having been institutionalized for most of his life. He and another boy murdered a child, when they were themselves children. The film follows Jack’s attempts to readjust to the world outside of confinement and restart a life which never really got going…

Seriously amazing film. The actor is someone to look out for.
While it’s loosely based on Jamie Bulger, the guy shown here is clearly totally a different person from the Bulger killers. The film is asking questions about what it’d be like if the killer wasn’t a monster, but was just a stupid kid who made a horrible mistake. I don’t feel a shred of sympathy for the Bulger killers, but I do for the protagonist of this movie.

Of course, thats just plain facts and not taking into account grief, anger and all other human emotions.
For all the bleeding hearts, i suggest you read that, digest whats written and then picture the child as your own. Then come back and berate the people who call for a harsh sentence for the killers.
I love they way some of you are sticking up for the murdering little scum that did this, put yourself in their shoes, they were only kids blah blah, i am a father and i can tell you straight if it was my child i would be still hunting them down now…i would have devoted my life to catching up with them and slowly torturing them to death as they did that poor kid (yes that wouldnt make me any better than them but its what they deserve)…hanging would have been too good for them, too easy.
Did any of you actualy read the reports of what that kid went through in his last minutes of life? They knew what they were doing, deranged little…well there isnt a word to describe them…hopefuly one day something bad will happen to them, or someone will reveal where they are and they get what they truely deserve…i’d salute the man that gave the family vengance so would many many more, a lot more than would be sympathetic towards the two that did the deed.
I hope they are living in so much fear for their own lives that one day it gets too much for them and they cant take it anymore and finish their own lives, i can imagine the news headlines “Bulger Killer Swings At Last” “Finaly Justice Is Served” i’d leave them where i found them to rot!!! SCUM
and to all you saying put yourself in their shoes, put yourself in little James shoes, his mother’s or father’s, any of his family and come back and tell me you would not have wanted a more serious sentence…obviously your not a parent or your not a very good/loving one thats all i can say.
Also if it were up to me, i wouldnt have gave them new identity’s, re-housed them in some other country or put them under protection, i would have opened the doors and said go on, go get what you truely deserve and let them out to the mob….you know we (the tax payer) are paying for them to lead a normal life (probably a better life than a lot of people)

What I said was that the death penalty inherently wrong regardless of the circumstances…
My senario.. you are convicted of a heinous and totally abominable crime you did not commit.. as has been found many times in the US (sometimes in time, sometimes too late) and not only do you get to live the next few (the last) years of your life on death row (as if that isn’t bad enough waiting for your execution) you get to spend those years knowing that when you are gone everyone you have ever known and loved, your friends and family and even those that will hear your name in future will believe you commited said crime (for instance child murder)…. NO ONE DESERVES THAT!!! That is a fate far worse than death, and if you believe that one innocent person having to be put through that is justification to be allowed to Capitally Punish those who ARE guilty then you are no better than the scum who killed Jamie Bulger…
Please read up on the number of people on death row found not guilty before or after their execution… what you advocate, i.e. capitol punishment, mentally tortured and then MURDERED these people!!!
And please don’t wax lyrical about the facts of the Bulger case… it happened 6 miles from my home when I was 17 years old.

And as for the death penalty, I personally do not think we should have it. In my opinion, it would be much worse to rot in prison for the rest of my life than to be lethally injected. The only thing is that our prisons are too nice. People in prison have it better, in a lot of instances, than the homeless who have not committed any crimes: three meals a day, a roof over their heads, free (paid for by law-abiding tax paying citizens) cable TV, air conditioning in certain facilities, workout facilities… Damn, that’s better than a lot of the poor who actually do have houses and jobs on the outside. ::sigh:: The world we live in.
