Reloaded are useless!! They’ll do anything to get f1rst release status, and 8/10 their release is rubbish. They released a BETA version of Assassins Creed, a BETA of Sims 3, added an original STEAM exe to the retail version of Ghostbusters, they’ve released crackfix’s for their own releases, the list goes on.

Can’t apply Rzr1911 Crack to RLD version. Different versions + Different appliance to the game itself. Rzr has to be done during the install. RLD afterwards.(That’s what I get after reading the NFOs.)

Mediafire has very variable speeds for different users. I for myself get 110kbps max on the site, a lot of people too. Rapidshare sucks for free users, but a lot of ppl have prem accs there, with one of those its very comfortable (top 3 if not the best) to DL stuff. Megaupload is the best one for free users, most of the time it can give up to 1.6mbps (which is my speed limit, I’m sure some ppl get more) and requires a reconnect only after about 2GB download, which is awesome.

Srsly, the reloaded one works just fine. Besides a few totally useless without any impact at all on the game, commands, theres no difference. And I’m pretty sure relodead made a self iso mainly because they couldnt just crack the exe.

can anyone answer the real question here? can we use the razor crack with reloaded release? there´s nothing wrong with a home made iso, that use less space tham the actual one, and if the razor ppl is telling the true the reloaded crack just dont have a certain command line..so we just need to put the razor crack on reloaded release. if anyone tried, give a hint.

Mediafire has unlimited parallel downloading so it doesn’t really matter if a single file’s DL speed is slower than MU. Even DLing form MF at 100KB/s (which it isn’t) if you DL 60 parts at the same time you’ll probably max out your bandwidth.
And for me, my IP is static so I cannot get ‘reconnect’ to get past MU’s DL limit. Which is extra annoying b/c it’s currently not clear what the limit is or when it resets. 7 minutes my ass more 2~3 hours.
Anyway, I think people love to post rapidsh%t and other useless services because they get points/money for posting the links. Mediafire gives no benefits at all for posting links, hence it’s lack of popularity despite being at least the 2nd best option for free DLers.

Well you see, only some big-ass games allow one to DL 60 parts at a time (about 20-25 would probably max me out, MF has constant drops in speed), and to be honest, new (good and big) games aren’t released that often. If you DL files of normal size (movies, series, music, progs) the service sucks ass.

To the person who asked about multiplayer:
3 friends and I have been playing lan multiplayer for the last 4 hours (up to level 13/14) on the reloaded release. No noticeable issues encountered, aside from the fact that it’s pretty damn hard if you don’t coordinate properly; voice chat definitely would’ve been nice if it was part of the game (we use teamspeak).
Notes:
- you only get your first skillpoint at level 5 for some reason :/
- melee attack (v) someone to challenge them to a duel; if they melee you back, you get to fight them

Pls read my comments more accurately, I say that i get over 1.6mbps at MU, so dial-up is not rly the reason….even if you didn’t notice my earlier comment some 3rd grade math skills would show you that if I say that 20-25 up-to-110kbps uploads would max me out I probably don’t use dial-up…
Also I said that mediafire has very variable speed for different users (probably country/server related), which is the reason it is way inferior to MU, and also the reason I don’t really care if you get 800kbps there

As far as the issues about which dler is best depends on your setup and ISP. I do find Megaupload the fastest with or without jdownloader. But that is my system. My brother who lives on the other coast uses Mediafire and Hotfile. But some of these newer ones that keep popping up are only good for very short time and then their servers are overloaded. So stick with the big names.

my game does not save the progress ..anyone has the same problem .
I can’t get the game to load on win7 64bit. The securom copy protection fails and so the install fails. Meh.

I haven’t finished downloading the game yet, but I believe with Razor releases, you need to open the .001 in WinRAR and it will create the .iso from the other files.
@shim I use 7Zip whenever I entounter one of these and it will extract the iso file which is what you need. My ISO is
named rzr-bord so right click that and rename it to rzr-bord.iso and you should be good to go. Also if you right click that new iso file and go to properties it should be 6.12 gb in size. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for your responses. Changing the file to iso didn’t work, as mentioned. But now, I forced winrar to open the first file 001 and it then recognized it as an archive with the rzr-bord file inside. Am extracting as I type.

Its a RPG/FPS you dummo. In the beginning you are weak, you have sucky guns and such. Then when you get to higher levels with both character and guns youll get nice one shot kills, specially with headshots. And you can actually do it in the beginning as well, its just you who sux!
This game is great!!! Me and a friend have played coop now maybe 15-20 hours and we havent even got to half the game. I love the game!!! So you are a moron if you dont give it chance, atleast play it for some hours. I can guarantee you will like it, if not youre just stupid!

It reminds me the installation of another game (can’t remember if it was Bioshock, but i had this issue with a game one ago).
For those who still have the “error 1722″ message at the end of the installation, here is the trick :
When you have this message (you can do it when you have the securom message), DON’T PRESS “ok”.
Copy the whole folder where you intalled the game (”Borderland” folder) and put it in another place on your hard drive. Then press ok. The installation will reverse, due to the error.
Put the copy of the folder “borderland” you made in your game directory.
Put the crack in the Binary folder !
Then it will work.
PS : for the .001 files, extract them with 7ZIP, it will excrat the iso correctly, with the good .iso extension.

We would like to take this opportunity to state our case against the recent
unnecessary propers by Razor.
From the nfo of Borderlands_Proper-Razor1911:
Razor claims that our release “wasts [sic] 1gb more space”.
Fact: Our release is smaller. Installed, both are the same in size.
Razor claims that our release is a “self made iso”, implying that it is not
retail.
Fact: We stated clearly in our nfo that our release was from Trymedia, which
is an official retail* distributor. It uses another installer that installs
faster, and every installed file is byte-identical to their version, except
for the exe.
Razor claims that we “removed” the delay import directory entry.
Fact: this entry was not available in the original executable.
Besides, a “Delay import” table does exactly what it implies: it DELAYS the
execution of dlls. If there is no “delay import” table, as in our
executable, the inits of the dlls will not be delayed, but loaded before EP
as every other dll. Razor’s implication that our version lacks PhysX in any
way is absolutely incorrect (see technical proof below).
Of all the outright lies, Razor claims that their releases are somehow more
“retail” than our Borderlands release (Trymedia), and also recently
SKIDROW’s Raven Squad (Steam) release, is the most bizarre.
Let’s refer to the Merriam-Webster definition of retail:

The online distributable versions of games are the same product, the same
files, but sold by an online retailer with an official distribution deal
with the publisher and sold directly to the ultimate customer. What exactly
is less than retail about that? The “retail” rule was always meant as a way
to distinguish the final version of a game from unfinished betas and review
copies. It was never meant to limit releases to physical boxed store copies.
Especially in a time and age where digital distribution is becoming more
and more regular and some titles (for instance Saw) are exclusively
distributed on digital platforms, it seems outdated to disallow releasing
such titles altogether. And we know that Razor knows this, because
they too have released titles from such sources.
In the case of Borderlands the only difference with the Razor “retail”
version and our version is that the Razor version, ironically, requires you
to allow the installer to go online during installation. If the Securom
internet date-check at the end of the installation fails, it uninstalls the
game. The installer also launches the game, and if the disc-check fails
(which it will due to Razor’s “self made” iso), it will also roll back the
installation. Razor tried to ‘fix’ this, by creating a fake executable that
should be copied over during the installation to prevent the installer from
automatically uninstalling the game. How “retail” is that solution ?
Another example is the release of A-Train 8. Here a downloaded installer
placed on a “self made iso” was good enough for Razor. And in the ultimate
act of hypocrisy, they nuked a legitimate proper that pointed out that their
release crashed due to badly copied code from a trial version of the game,
something they regularly accuse others of.
As it looks, the reasons for Razor’s odd behaviour and unneeded propers
may be an overinflated sense of entitlement and frustration over the recent
inability to win releases in an honorable fashion.

If there -are- any differences between the 2 releases in graphics/physics etc, it would be in the various .ini files in the installation folders.

Thanks for the attemp Dan, but mine still not install, Win7 X64.
I have tried copy the folder – click yes which deletes the original folder – then copy back the copied folder. Run the .exe but still will not run – cnt find a file when opening the .exe
PS / game was Bioshock – gonna try the reloaded release to see if that works
To install it, just wait for the DirectX to install, and wait for the game directory to be made.
Once it appears, copy the exe from Razor1911\install to borderlands\binaries.
Then copy the exe from Razor1911\crack into the borderlands folder.
You don’t need to rush, you have until the install progress bar finishes to copy these 2 files. After that the Razor secureRom loader opens up, and you can use the exe in the binaries folder to launch the game.

For the cr*ck you have to copy/paste the file during the installation because at the end of it there is a securom security which is launched.
So you have to do it before the end.

@174 noticed on your dessktop you have a kryptview folder, have you had any joy getting back onto wizardmods???
For those who haven’t figured out how to install the Razor-Release:
you have your Install-Dir. In it, there are 5 folders (Binaries, Engine, ….). After the installation starts, wait past the DirectX-install, go to the Binaries-folder and look, if the Borderlands.exe exists(about 43 MB). If, rename or delete it and copy the Borderlands.exe from the install-folder there (size 265 KB). Then go 1 Level up so you see the 5 folders again. In there, place the Borderlands.exe from the Crack-folder(and if you don’t see a file-extension, you should enable them in in your folder-options->view).

For those who have issues saving games or even your system settings then there is a fix for that. I am not sure if this is just a Vista problem or XP and Windows 7 will have this same problem, but here is the fix.
If you changed your My Documents location to save somewhere else other than the standard default location C:\Users\\My Documents then it won’t save your game or configuration. In Vista just right click on your My Documents folder and go to properties where you will select the Location tab. Then you should see a button “Restore Default” which you will click to restore it back to normal. It may ask you to move your files, but I selected no. After you do this then Borderlands should save your progress and configuration settings.
A way to confirm that your settings are being saved is by checking your My Documents folder and you should see a creation of a “My Games” folder with a “Borderlands” folder inside the My Games folder. If you see this then you should be good to go.

I am playing the Razor crack. I follow the robot thing to the outpost and waste some bad guys on the way. Pick through the endless tins, boxes, toilets etc for cash and ammo and roll up to the shop.
How do I access the shop ?
guys, regarding all this stuff i can explain it in simple statements:
1. RELOADED crack is working fine, and there is no way that “delayed imports” can harm any game functions.
2. Razor1911 release requires you to be online to be installed properly. RELOADED release don’t.
that’s it.

Does anyone know how to install this release in Windows 7? Because the installer does not work in Windows 7 I have to run a special command (see http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=78731). The installation works fine this way, but it’s done in the background so I can’t see when the DX has been installed, therefore I can’t know when is the right moment to copy the cracked .exe.

I’m having the same problem… after the securerom loader comes up; the game doesn’t load.
Any ideas?
I installed the game using the method described by .178 WeEN and it works fine on Windows 7 32-bit. Only extra thing I did was to go to Properties->Compatibility and check Run As Administrator.
If you get stuck while installing or after that maybe there is a workaround…
After all files are copied to your hard drive, but before it finishes with the online validation, try copying the game directory to another location. Once the installer ha deleted it you can move it back and copy the Borderlands.exe from the Razor/crack dir into the Binaries dir.
Well i have tried every way to get this razor version of this game to install and to be honest its a ballache and all i get is errors even afet following all the info and advice here i have given up and downloaded reloaded instead..Razor are a pile of sh1t and they have no right slagg1ng off reloaded!…this is a useless version…boooo to razor 1911!

You all FAIL….this crack is a piece of cake to install.
During the install as soon as it creates the install folder just replace the “c:\program files\2k games\gearbox software\borderlands\bineries\borderlands.exe” with the one from the razor1911\install folder on the cd.
Then copy the borderlands.exe from the razor1911\install folder on the CD into the “c:\program files\2k games\gearbox software\borderlands” folder.
Piece of cake. If you tards can’t work it out don’t blame the cracker. BLAME YOUR MOTHER!!!

There some files, rzr-bord.000 – .066 that dont work. Extracts to “rzr-bord” which is unusable. Watch out for files that use HJsplit to join, it maybe fruitless.

ya i also got the same issue, i got to run the game once, after that it told me i was missing the same dll’s i got them off of dll-files.com and it took care of that, now it says i’ missing stlport5.1.dll and i haven’t been able to find a way to fix that. also, i’ve re-installed 5-6 times and it wont fix this problem. still tells me im missin stlport5.1.dll
Hi I have downloaded this iso twice now from two different sources, not only was it hard to burn (bit weird) but when I got a error free burn the contents of the disc are not seen by vista although I can see the disk has burnt… has anyone any ideas? Help…

When i look watch the details of the borderlands.exe, the date is 11/07, after the date of release, it’s may the crack for the 1.01 ( the release date of the version 1.01 is the 11/06 )

I DLed the Razor version and installed it, but it didn’t come with the razor crack so I put it in AFTER the install and the game works so far(20 mins in). Should I reinstall using the “Crack during install” method?.

I can’t play online though Gamespy because I need the latest patch, so which patch do I install? Does anybody know which one works with Razors version?
