This is a little taste of light entertainment in England, we freakin’ love it. The massively fat, giant tumors, exotic and painful diseases, whatever, as long as it looks horrifying we go wild!

The more cynical could call this mass surge of suffering exploitative, they may say it panders to the basest voyeuristic tendencies, they may liken it to driving slowly past a car crash to get a good look.

Well I say fu*k them! I want to see blood and viscera as this guys face gets cut off and then I want to be in awe of the results or at the very least pity the fool in his dyeing days as if I cared all along. Hell, maybe the freak will say a few prophetic things and then I can feel as if I have watched the passing of some great messiah, burdened with the evils of the world, sent here to teach the masses a lesson.

To all those chastising others for being derogatory, I feel for you. When I was young I was a sensitive soul. I expected life to be fair, for people to be compassionate, when they weren’t, even if not in relation to me I would feel personally violated, like someone had stepped beyond a line of human decency. Then I grew up, bad things happened, I saw horror, blah blah blah.

Now my skin is pretty thick and the suffering of others is just another drop in the ocean. If I could not laugh at all the crap that happens to people I think I would slit my wrists.

Anyway, I flicked channels and was confronted with this a few nights back, I turned over..

Instead, Americans worship people like Paris Hilton and Tom Cruise. Those “stars” get all the tax breaks, get gifts, air time, free this free that.

Americans, let alone humans, are completely wired backwards.

Why? Why can’t we collectively help people like this rather than be so selfish? It doesn’t have to be this way, and how it got here, well, we can only blame ourselves.
