One-time scene group BLOCPARTY is responsible for the brand new Bloc Party album, Intimacy, a few days before it hits store shelves.  I’ve never really listened to the band before, but I’m going to check this release out, namely because the band’s playing at a festival I’m going to in a couple of weeks.  So, fans of the band, enjoy.

Following a long run of summer festivals and sold out tour dates, Bloc Party brings us their newest studio effort. Intimacy is a fittingly up-close title for an album that is, immediately, in-your-face and
in-your-ear. Bloc Party’s third album is a thrillingly radical record, bristling with percussive innovation, scorching riffs, orchestral sampledelia, and biting emotional candor.

    The 10 track album was the Download verison. This is Retail, what you buy in the shops. It has 3 new tracks, and Flux (which was never an official track for any previous albums – just a b-side on the re-release of AWITC).

    first album was awesome, second acceptable, this one (at least the 10 songs of the download version) has nothing to share with previous works (unfortunately :( )

    This album SUCKS bigtime.

    Go get the Bloc Party EP or Silent Alarm as they ARE admittedly, amazing. This band NEVER lived up to their own hype and I’m forever going to be bitter about it… *sigh* Yet another band swallowed whole by the media machine, chewed up and spat out like a dry husk.
    Only eligible for gig-tickets if you buy a record? Sell outs too.
