Blitzkrieg MAC-OSX
Here we have a game that was just released for the Mac OS. This has been on Windows for a while, but was finally just given to us Mac users. This is a real time strategy game set in WWII. The Crack is included.

I know it isn’t a PC game, but it is the closest section we have, trust me, I think there should be a Mac game section as well as a Mac app section, but oh well.

If you can play more games (which doesn’t make sense- which ones?) then what is the point of mentioning this old title (little sister to Company of Heroes)?
I generally avoid the Mac v PC thing. But to say that it’s a better games platform seems silly. Wouldn’t you need to run windows on it and maybe use an Intel CPU, which makes it a PC with Mac skin, doesn’t it? They must be good at some things, obviously,? And you never see a homeless guy with a Mac.

well I think he means dual boot which is what I do on my 8 core Xeon Mac tower pro. This gives all the best apps from both sides at native speeds at half the cost.
If you run VM then even better since it gives the 8 cores something to do and the speed is about 80% of native which is plenty for everything but a few intense games.

Mac can natively dual-boot between OS X and XP or Vista, hence you get every PC game. Yes, it’s a PC with a Mac skin, but PC makers are only just catching up with the Mac’s style (IMHO) so we get the best of both worlds!

company of heroes was not the daddy of blitzkrieg. blitzkrieg is the daddy of ALL ww2 strategy, you just couldnt play it cos u are useless

I disagree. It is not a PC with a mac skin because what makes a computer is the Operating System NOT the hardware.
Mac had Motorola then IBM and now Intel all running Mac OS which gives the mac experience. Microsoft doesn’t care about the hardware either. If IBM was #1 and made all the mobos then windows would run on it.
like the iPhonce what makes it Apple is the OS it runs.

@ateight -I actually liked Blitzkrieg. I played it a lot. But once CoH came out I just thought it was a much better game. So does a majority of the gaming world. Also I don’t think it was the “daddy” of WW2 games by any stretch. What about Close Combat or many others? I’m not officially a grognard but I don’t get why you would say I couldn’t play it? What makes you say that?
@scenedude -What about if a Mac uses windows AND has the hardware. It’s getting a lot closer to the PC. Nothing wrong with doing both I suppose.
As for style- I really don’t have a problem with Macs, just never really needed one yet. I enjoy modding my own cases and hardware, That’s half the fun for me and the parts are available.

Yeah LOL that mess of a game was made for the majority of the gaming world, that needs quick and easy resupplies/reinforcements and fast paced gameplay. going for Flags? LOL.. no realism… at….all.. just a point and click fest. I know solid blitzkrieg 1ers to the day, that wouldnt touch your shiny company of heroes with a long long stick.
Nice to see software for OSX posted, even if it’s just a crappy game…
Oh, and about posting releases for Mac: Would it be too difficult to create a sub-category in the ‘Applications’ category for Mac releases, because it would be much more easier to browse just the applications for Mac.

don’t want to be annoying or something, just would like to kindly know if anyone is going to upload this to some kind of hoster and post the links? Usually this kind of release seems to be upped within minutes, but MAC games are not very popular with the uploading crowd, I guess. Hello RS-links, thank you for those links! When you say that it is not difficul to find those links, are you sure that those links are for the MAC version? Of course, finding links for Windows version should be relatively simple. But we are talking about the MAC version here. I searched for about 10 minutes and couldn’t find any.
