Blindness 2008 DVDSCR XViD-TDL

TDL have released a DVD screener of Blindness about 30 mins ago. I havent really heard anything about this movie before but after watching the trailer im quite interested now. Quality isnt the best, also there is a pretty big watermark at the top and also has been hardcoded with Portuguese subtitles. Im pretty picky when it comes to quality so im waiting for a better release but check out the sample see if its watchable to you ;)

A city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant “white blindness”. Those first afflicted are quarantined by the authorities in an abandoned mental hospital where the newly created “society of the blind” quickly breaks down. Criminals and the physically powerful prey upon the weak, hording the meager food rations and committing horrific acts. There is however one eyewitness to the nightmare. A woman whose sight is unaffected by the plague follows her afflicted husband to quarantine. There, keeping her sight a secret, she guides seven strangers who have become, in essence, a family. She leads them out of quarantine and onto the ravaged streets of the city, which has seen all vestiges of civilization crumble. Their voyage is fraught with danger, yet their survival and ultimate redemption reflect the tenacity and depth of the human spirit.

Update: There have been a few nukes for this release.

thats plagiarism. copy and paste is prolly the only way you could make it through school seeing that you think brazilian is a language.

I hate Brazilian subtitled movies, since I only speak American. You British speaking folks wouldn’t understand.

  16. Watermarking
    December 3rd, 2008 | 09:48

That is some of the most obnoxious watermarking and scrolling anti-piracy text that I’ve ever seen on a movie.

    VIEW THE SAMPLE FIRST.

For the love of the gods, that was nasty. I usually don’t mind black and white, small watermarks, etc. but this takes it to another level. I’ll wait for a better release.

It’s an american movie with a brazilian director. What’s the matter? He is better then most of the directors.

My friend (post #7), the portuguese from Brazil, is different from the portuguese from Portugal. Brazilians often miss terms in the real Portuguese.

Hehe, you’re missing the point I made…there’s no brazilian language, they speak portuguese, be it with their own expressions and own words coupled with their accent, but still, it’s portuguese. In Angola and Mozambique, they speak portuguese too, you can hardly understand it or call it portuguese, but it’s the official language. :)

  43. Grifter
    December 3rd, 2008 | 17:54

Same with America and Britain…they both speak English, and each have their own expressions. But it is still English. :)

    December 3rd, 2008 | 20:56

Of course it’s “non sense”.It’s based upon a book from José Saramago! I’ve tried to read “The Gospel According to Jesus Christ” back in ‘93 and gave up… Trying to understand it was so frustrating. Maybe it’s a problem with my IQ…

@63 – It’s in English but there are some short dialogues in Japanese (apparently. I didn’t recognise the language). It’s still watchable IMO.
