Blu-ray looks Great and Sounds Great on my 3.5 meter movie screen and 7.5 HD surround sound. Some Movies turn out better than others the best movie for quality i have seen so far is the patriot.
I agree with the above comments you need a HD Projector or HD TV to get the best out of Blu-ray.

people who say this is a good film have no clue. Its a toss up between this and “Dr Wai…” for the title of Jet Li’s worst movie ever.
if you like sped up fighting, no story, crap effects, sure, you will love this.
why they bother releasing (the distributers, not the rippers) such crap in HD is beyond me. There are so many better films which deserve to be in HD.

I don’t know about you, but my experience with blue ray vs dvd has a pretty big gap in between when talking about picture quality. I only have a 32″ samsung. I can see that the blue ray has an “IMAX” feel to it. The dvd has like grainy and blurred graphics. I guess you can pretty much compare it to VHS vs DVD quality, but in this case DVD vs Blue Ray.

Willam Gates- I agree. Blu ray only looks better if you have a nice 1080p capable LCD/Plasma (forget DLP even thought the new Mitsu’s are OK) and a HDMI cable. Its just the industry trying to roll out “New” technology to keep itself alive. The TV hardware industry especially- they couldn’t make LOADS of money if they just kept selling CRT’s, right? Its a self-feeding industry. just like modern computing. The only reason we need a 3ghz quad core with 4gb of ram if because coders are lazy and the hardware industry leans on them to be so- so they can come out with new hardware to fit “system requirements”. Its virtually the same in the TV industry as well. yay for capitalism! ….er…

Is it just me or is blu-ray completely over hyped and not much better than dvd.I know that statistically on paper it looks to be better but i have just put my blu ray player up for sale as i was NOT impressed with it at all.

Would have been a great release but no doubt it’s the cut version and dubbed too. Now if the original full uncut version in it’s original language and subtitles popped up then THAT would awesome.
