Show Summary
From the creator of Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch comes a one-of-a-kind series about Texas oil men who gamble everything for a chance to strike it rich. Wildcatters risk their life savings and roughnecks risk their lives. Black Gold takes you inside the action as the race for oil heats up.

Episode Summary
Three crews of roughnecks in West Texas are off and running in search for oil, but each hit a disaster on their first day. Although the Viking rig is state-of-the-art, the crew is having trouble in getting started. The smallest of the roughnecks on the tried-and-true Longhorn rig, suffers a crushing injury by a piece of equipment. Will one crew leader not survive the end of the first week?

    This looks very cool.

    I just hope they don’t use narrator with over-dramatic voice and cut it up with “coming up next!” all the freakin time.
