Here is DETONATiON back with a nice cracked update for the superb game Bioshock. For all the haters and lovers, yes this is better then Halo 3 and/or Crysis, so don’t post that crap please, otherwise this guy will pay you a visit tonight:

Bioshock was ultimately better than Crysis. Bioshock’s story, characters, and setting were so original – it’s destined to be a classic.

First, this is already on gamecopyworld, so no need for torrent or anything. Download the international update from 2k.
Second, you don’t need the clone version to install the update. I’m using the “BioShock PROPER-LOLCATS” version and it worked like charm. When it tries to update it will not update the bioshock.exe file, since it doesn’t fit the CRC, but it will update all other files. And you don’t need that file from the update – you get it from the patch.

Bioshock is an amazing game which I can’t even compare to the resources devourer called Crysis. And btw the graphics style of BioShock is way more cooler than that of Crysis, plus you don’t have to own a 8800 Ultra to play it.

The problem with Bioshock is that it’s boring as hell to play and just generally just “feels” like crap as a shooter. Good story? I wouldn’t know, didn’t get far enough, and couldn’t care less. Crysis “story” was laughable, but was fun to play, just like Far Cry was. I watch movies and read books for stories. If story was important, I wouldn’t get to play Civilization IV, ever. If you disagree, then it’s because you’re less intelligent than I am. We can’t all be geniuses, the world needs ditch diggers too.
Oh yeah, and COD4 is even worse than Bioshock. Sorry!
Got FLT release but after updatin to v1.1 game won’t start… “Bioshock.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.” That’s my personal experience.
Oh yeah off topic, but for everyone wanting nip tuck the new episode has not been released yet.

I’m sorry I haven’t checked the graphics cards that are compatible with those 2 games, but if you weren’t nit picking as hell you’d get my point which is the difference in the resources needed to play each of these games
dudeboy you are a looser, and you are lying when you say you read books, the story its a very important part of a game, just like plot its important in a movie or book, guess you love dull movies and dont read much, crysis its not so bad, but everyone expected much more, just for the fun of shooting, COD4 is way better than crysis.

In my opinion Bioshock, like many other good games let the player choice, moral choice too. Ofcurz the guys that say Crysis and Halo 3 it’s much more better then this and that they are using the very less potentiality of their brain for enjoy their favorite VG instead of turn off the light put 5.1 headset and enjoy the very best game in this damn poor 2007.
It’s thx to people like that Halo 3 and Crysis as well as PES 2008 fans that the VG industry it’s going in that damn hell way. Every year the same games with better graphic more gore and a damn number in front of the title. That’s only my opinion anyway, just someone that read maybe a book in 1 year but enjoy the experience.

replace the exe in the /builds/release/ folder, run the official update and put the crack. that simple
any objective gamer knows this game is overrated by many fanboys, however it was in the top 5 of best games 2007.

Bioshock may be better but since it won’t run if Process Explorer has been loaded (closing it doesn’t help until you’ve rebooted) it’s not even worth trying.

I have played both games and after 30 minutes of Bioshock, i couldnt look more at it, so i dont talk about playing it. Its a booring game, and the interface/gameplay is a little bit “strange”. talk about COD4?? for what, after 2 hours playing it, i only get of the computer because i had to work the day before. Im only upset because after a week playing a little per day i have already passed the game, its very short game, but very impressive
Why do you need Process Explorer while it’s running, There are better utilities that are not detected. IDS for one.

Try to keep up, Jeeeep. I autoload Process Explorer because it’s the best Task Manager replacement there is. What’s IDS got to do with anything? Quitting PE doesn’t help, I have to stop it from autostarting and then reboot.
I feel like an idiot right now. I don’t know why I can’t figure this out. I use the Darkcoder crack to get my game running. I just downloaded the update and the update comes with a crack file. How do I do this? Should I replace the cracked darkcoder exe and dll with the originals, then run the update, then use the new crack that came with the update? what do i do with the secu.eg reg? should i just run the update then use the new crack. AAAGGGHHH! My brain is burning…
Boring game. Try COD4, Unreal, or TimeShift for DX9. If you have Ultra or SLI wait for Crysis patch playing ‘CoJ’ DX10 version (Vista required).

How can you people compare games totally different each others ??? Tell me the things that make similar Bioshock with Crysis or Cod 4 ??? Only because you see weapon on your hand never mean all the title it’s just FPS clone of Castle Wolfenstain. Bioshock it’s NOT JUST a FPS but CoD and Crysis YES. It’s like you compare a Simulation game with Arcade one, offcurz the Arcade it’s much more Fun then Simulation, but after you practice a little in Simulations you can do things that Arcade never let you do. That what I think.

It appears the Securom has been removed, or is that Detonation’s handy work.
Just reinstalled Bioshock, did the patch, used the crack, played awhile; then checked for those inviso files in Docs & Setting and they arnt there, checked the reg for those ‘locked’ entries and the securom folder is nowhere to be found.

pa, bioshock is the closest thing to innovation in the games that have been coming out, not to mention timeshift. COD4 well single player campaign was WAY too short, although i guess u can argue, quality rather than quantity is what those guys focused on. well, haven’t played crysis yet, but the demo…hmm, somehow reminds me of battlefield but you got the nanosuit on, and u gotta complete objectives as opposed to capture strategic points…still love bioshock although replay value = 0, timeshift is awesome, COD4 too short but a lot of fun, UT3 feels so different…
sorry to double post, i guess liking or disliking a game and comparing them to others really depends on personal taste, of course some people would agree more with a certain game, e.g. that it’s good or bad…about the patch, i don’t think i’m going to play the game again just because i get like 4 more plasmids…plus, bioshock is much funner when you get all the cool plasmids, unfortunately that is like impossible to get…sorry improbable…

@25 DekenFrost : i tried bioshock on athlon 64 3200 with radeon 9800 and plays fine – u definetely need to learn how to tune yer pcs or else STFU . Crysis is just like some1 said yet another -almost no brainer- FarCry aimed at younger halo fans.

I can confirm this works with the darkcoder release, though I lost some keybindings, that is probably unrelated.

I lost my keybindings too. The other odd thing is that on the loading screens where it gives those tips, it says stuff like “Press (UNBOUND) to do whatever” instead of showing the actual key to hit, yet the keys are all bound and working. It’s not a big deal to me since it’s purely cosmetic.

I still use a crack even though I have a valid key because I’d rather not have that hidden Securom crap installed (I had to use Ghost Explorer to get rid of it) or worry about conforming to their draconian licensing rules. 2K Games really dropped the ball on this one. It’s not difficult to understand why my virus scanner would detect bioshock.exe as a trojan horse and delete it. Props to Detonation and everyone else for staying on top of this. It doesn’t matter who is scene or not as long as we all have the same goals. DRM hurts the consumer and needs to stop. If you make a good game, people will buy it.
bioshock was boring really, anyone who rates bioshock higher then crysis just needs to upgrade their geforce 6600.

Crysis isn’t a game, it’s more of a technology demo. It goes from fun for the first hour to tedious and boring. It looks great, but graphics don’t make a game fun to play.
Bioshock isn’t perfect but it still has ten times the production value of Crysis.
By the way, it’s spelled “than” not “then”. Don’t post in English if you don’t how how to speak it. You might also want to figure out how caps and punctuation work. I think they cover that in second grade so you might want to take that year again.

For the love of god, everyone has their own opinions on what makes a good and bad game. Just stop arguing.
I'm confused because when I enter new areas my FPS drops to about 6, then after a while it climbs back up to 50 or 60. I'm running an AMD Phenom II ~3.0ghz quad core, 4gb corsair xms, nvidia 9800GTX+, XP Pro 32bit. I've got the latest nvidia drivers. I'm not sure what the problem could be, this machine should have enough power to dual box Bioshock.

when it has a loading screen fps will drop as its not using many frame per second because nothing is going on,hope this helps you.
as for the little girls saying halo 3 is better than all other, you guys need to get this game on a proper machine with a ATI 5870 in DX11 then you will see how nice this game looks and all nivida users cannot have dx11 yet,
cod 4 is the best game ATM and to date… you cant even touch it on a level that cod is on really guys…… even better than Cod MW2, crysis is also a very good games and as for far cry lolololololololololol dont make me laugh

yes i finally got it how to cross it… first keep a save before the event… wen u first see the doctor… then.. update the game…. then u start the game where u left.. now wen the gates open.. rush to the safe.. i did not have the scrouger tonic( or watevr it is said) n it worked… u might have to repeat it once.. i repeated it once
