BioShock PROPER-LOLCATS

We’ve already informed you about the working crack for Bioshock, so it was only a matter of time till some real scene group takes this crack and makes a whole release with it. LOLCATS isn’t exactly a world-famous group, but their release works like a charm and that’s what important. As the NFO says, This release does not require internet, nor does it have any serial or activation part and you don’t have to copy any cracked files over. So the only problem I see is the size of the game, which is slightly over six gigabytes.

    BE WARNED !!!!!
    I USED JOTTI ONLINE SCANNER AND FOUND MALWARE/GENERIC-A IN BOTH THE PAUL.DLL AND THE BIOSHOCK CRACK
    before i had the bright idea to scan the file i did an install just as the instructions say and this virus infected my pc and i had to do a complete reinstall to get my pc workin again(the virus disabled my taskbar and i could not access my files also it disabled my virus protection and it also disabled safe mode so i could not fix the prob)
    BE WARNED!!!!
    THE DARK CODER CRACK IS INFECTED!!!!
    also just for info i downloaded the file from the link given by release log
    i understand that using these cracked games come with some measure of danger but i did not expect to get infected from a link given by release log
    tut tut release log i expected more from you guys
    please do your homework and do not post links to files that are infected
    i am a supporter of release log so it pains me to write this post but i feel i must for the good of the gamers comunity and for the reputation of release log

    I downloaded a different 3Gb version !!!!it works great and no activation or crack required, or internet

    i used the onehitwonder ISO with a maxi image from GCW and i used the link for the dark coder crack provided by RL
    the game installed fine no probs there but the infection sufaced after restart and locked my pc down i could not remove it i could not use safe mode(tried many different things) so did a clean boot
    after reinstalling OS i did some scans to see if i could find where it came from and found MALWARE/GENERIC-A in the paul.dll and the bioshock.exe crack the specific name of the virus is Backdoor.Haxdoor

    I don’t know mate…both links from Releaselog are definitely not infected with anything and I doubt that the GCW one is either. So, most likely you got the virus from somewhere else and it just took effect when you rebooted. If you could provide a link to the infected files, I will gladly test them for you with my fully updated version of Kaspersky and let you know if I find anything.

    also, i used Kaspersky online scanner and it found nothing
    it wasnt till i used jotti that i found the virus [url]http://virusscan.jotti.org/[/url]

    i have considered the fact that this malware may have been on my pc for some time doing its damage (although i am very carefull with my beloved pc :D so i highly doubt this is the case)
    after finding what i did and the whole sequence of events during and after the install of bioshock i truely belive that the source of my problems was the paul.dll and the bioshock.exe so any help in figureing this one out would be very much appreciated by me and the community at large

    (i reeeaaally want to play this game!!lol)

    oh and one more thing….
    i have tried using different versions of this from different torrents and each time i download them i scan them and get the same virus pop up in jotti

    so it may be a false positive or it may be being spread through the community intact and as is
    i just know that i cant use this game untill either a non infected crack comes out or i buy it lol and thats a waste of space on my HD not to mention bandwidth!

    so you say this sophros scan is a false positive? ok thats the same one i picked up as well
    ok im gonna take your advice and give it another try
    very cautiously ….

    BTW how do you tell a false positive from a real virus? i know a decent ammount of stuff about PCs but im still learning as we all are …any tips?
    release log have never let me down before and thats why i was so surprised at all this,in fact at the moment im dloading MOH airborne and ive got heaps of other games from Rls and would like to avoid this happening in the future so any tips would be very much appreciated

    ok ive installed BS without any issues
    after the install is complete it asks if i want to get the latest nvidia drivers , last time i installed and had the probs i did use the option to update the drivers and if memory serves me correctly the troubles started after i installed those drivers and reststarted my pc(maybe the link is fake or a duplicate something , really not sure about that)
    so ive avoided it this time i hope though i have not put the crack files in yet and have not run the game yet (i figure ill post as i go along)
    so ill post again once im done and let you know how i go

    ok all installed and working like a charm!!
    as i said above i didnt take the games advice and update the drivers for my gfx card as i did it manually not that long ago and wasnt willing to risk it again

    so yeah a big thanks for all your help 420 very much appreciated

    errrm i am a happy Vista user and i actually like it contrary to all the negative hype(cracked fully registered ultimate version , wouldnt pay for it lol )
    it does have a few little draw backs but overall i likey!

    actually bro i didnt mention before but i have a dual boot goin on and i am a big fan of XP as well ive got XP Pro x64 (the way of the future is x64 baby woot woot!) which i unfortunately paid for when i was a green nOOb myself but it is well worth it in terms of having a strong stable OS to fall back on untill all (or most lol) of vistas bugs are sorted out
    ive thought seriously about using ubuntu (if only for beryl) but havnt installed it as yet and probly wont for the forseeable future
    and yeah vista does take ALOT of the thinking out of using your PC which i dont particularly like either
    so yeah im hanging for both XP SP3 and Vista SP1 ill be getting both and weighing up my options after that
    mostly i use vista to familiarise myself with it ,cause as we all know microsoft controls 90% of the OS market and in a few years Vista will be the mainstay as XP was a couple of years after 2000 was put on the backseat

    one thing that pisses me off is that DX10 is only available in vista…. that sucks
    either way im comming up to needing a new vid card and am looking forward to seeing it in action
    i run a dual core 3.4Ghz processor on x64bit gigabyte motherboard
    256 MB nvidia 7600GT vid (i use the 162.22 drivers and have had minor issues with BS but its still playable,i dont trust the beta drivers though after my last experience)
    2 gig ram (want another 2 to go with the new vid card im gonna eventually get)
    17″ flatscreen
    2 HDD 1 x200gig 1 x80 gig
    LOOOVE MY PC!!! :)

    I totally agree with 420 Vista is a good OS for the looks, but not for gaming, and for the DX10 thing don’t worry guy’s there will be one for XP. DX10 for vista was announced that it will be just for Vista, but they sad that to make stupid NooB’s think it’s better than XP and to buy Vista
    XP rules
    P.S And Microsoft sad Vista will be the best OS for gaming WTF

    The LOLCATS release installs SECUROM. Just like FLT said, it was just a loader, not a “real” crack. You’ll need to remove SECUROM Manually from your computer.

    You’d better remove it when you’re done playing BS because SECUROM is a security breach that rootkits can exploit (malware). I’m not complaining about it though. I’m just glad I can play BS with occassional crashes here and there.
