She is alright… You can tell without the makeup and correct lighting she would not be that amazing. Show seems like a crap story… Crap indeed. Why the chick from battlestar is lowering herself to such a low standard is beyond me… I only ever liked here because she plays her character well in battlestar – in the however it is just retarded.

Some shows have a bigger budget or are made by diff companies – not everything is whatever someone thinks is perfect – as entertainment its good –
Its not Heroes or Lost but then some people think they are shot too…..there is no pleasing some people.
There are way too many shows to choose from to compare them all – if you wanna moan about something pick Flash Gordon thats real moron television.
The show is interesting and moves at a pace that isnt boring and stuff happens –

Also the girls are hot regardless as to their application of makeup – which isnt something I concern myself with…

Lovin’ this show so far- I for one felt this episode was a big improvement in pace over the first episode.
I’m still a bit peeved that they changed the character of the little sister from the pilot. I guess having a deaf girl on TV is too much for the asshats at NBS and the general US population as a whole. very dissappointing. Her character and the lead role had so much more depth with that as part of the story.

You’re correct. The relationship between her and the deaf sister was the only aspect of interest. The replacement for that character looked more like her, but the fact that the whole deaf angle was removed was a fucking boneheaded move by NBC. It brought the show down a notch. Right now it doesn’t look like it’ll make it past season 1 as both current episodes blew. Yeah,Jaime is hot but so are a lot of other actresess on Television.
Yes, rippk, you figured it all out. NBS (Whomever they are, you’d think it would have been NBC) initiated a nationwide vote and by an overwhelming margin the general population of the entire United States stated that having a deaf sister was ‘too much’. In fact every decision or statement made by any politician, company, or individual in the US goes through this same process, so if anything is done or said that you think is ‘dumb’ (and god knows you seem an expert on the subject) then obviously it means that 300million people are dumb.
That, or you’re just a brain dead tool, unaware that there are shows with deaf sisters (Jericho, anyone? And that actress is deaf for god’s sake), so recasting probably had nothing whatsoever with anyone thinking having a deaf sister would be ‘too much’ and everything to do with trying to change things around to save a show whose pre-air was rightfully savaged by the public and the press.
No, the deaf sister was removed after the deaf help groups found out the actress player her wasn’t deaf… I certainly agree that the deaf “dynamic” was the only thing even remotely interesting on this show.
This show is just as lame as Flash Gordon and I won’t be watching anymore episodes. I’m just glad they didn’t remake (read: piss all over) The Six Million Dollar Man.
It definately illustrates that fact that most TV execs are brain dead assholes.
How about they change the name of the show to “The Bionic Little Girl”.
This series is just plain lost and trying to find an identity. About the episode itself, it looked like I was having a deja-vu of some kind. I remember seeing a similar episode in several other (older) series, so this shows no imagination on part of the writers of the show.
Poor acting, lousy story, no matter that the actresses/actors are hot. I rather watch something else.
