What did you think? The GFX will be TOP-NOTCH? Never forget that this is a 1.5 year old game, but anyhow, it still ROCKS and it works very good… a little hard with keyboard, but it isn’t that bad.

Now, this was a forced release, the “good” version from ubisoft is supposed to come out around 20.02.07, thats with official mouse support. I have tried playing it but believe me, its a pain in the a** to play it with keyboard.

Anyone has had the same problem? Game keeps on kicking to desktop after you find and kill the guy in the hut, at the begining of the game. There’s a cutscene then, the screen goes black and i need to reboot my PC.

I have been playing this game for about three hours now and I am saddened that there is no mouse support. (Doesn’t matter though because I’m using my 360 controller)
The graphics are of higher resolution but the textures and everything else are worser than the PS2 version which makes this the worst looking of the ports. That should mean that this game should be fairly easy to run though as their is nothing too taxing.
Decent release, I will be waiting for the Ubisoft version though for the superior graphics.
English, DVD (3.1Gb), No mouse support, Graphics are decent from when I have played it. I’m guessing when the others played it they hadn’t set it to 1280×1024 resolution. But for me the characters look pretty sharp. GC version wasn’t as dark a color maybe with added blur/smoke? Well anyway looks great on my side. There are some trainers out for it and a smart shader HDR effect for ATi card uses using cards higher than 9550. There is also a color optimization tool floating around so you can adjust the color coordination to your liking while in windows mode of play. Enjoy =3

The DirectX issue is due to the newer builds that will add this file. Most new games that ask to install DirectX 9c will fix this otherwise get the latest Build. Think it is DirectX 9c Jan. 2007.
Isn’t Ubisoft converting the game to pc or what? Is NETSHOW cracked the game or they convert the PS2 game on their own? Anyone knows?

I’m unable to get the mousejoystick to work either. When I go to add it in the game controllers, i get an error message saying that its not configured or something. Weird. It’s really hard to play without a joystick or mouse. If I can’t get the mouse to work, I might as well buy a gamepad.
The RE4 game (Netshow) keeps crashing (error at game.exe) at the place where in the game Leon is going throuh a long water tunnel! (right after he was dropped down through the Salazar’s trap.)
Game freezes for a couple of seconsds and then crashes.

I have an AMD Athlon Xp 2600+ with ATI Radeon 9200 256MB..512MB Ram..All the latest drivers including DirectX 9.0c
The problem is that when i push “start” (the installation works fine) there is a black screen with “loading…” in the lower right and..that’s it!Black screen..
Any ideas?
To the person with the Dx9 problem just download the newest version. The game works well the graphics are preety good for such an old game. The game actually looks better than the cutscenes. I had a question can you change the resolution of the game. because its not in the menu, when i go to the options it givest me some bullshit about changing the controls on a gamecube controler. Anyways have fun playing.
To Transsporter man, you have to go to setup in the folder to change your resolution.

the problem with game crashes was with the “r229_ev2.mpg”, it’s seems to be an invalid file (maybe depends on what video codecs you have installed), so get rid of the file, make a copy of say “r229_ev.mpg” name it “r229_ev2.mpg”. Works fine for me. =)
I believe this is a beta leak of Resident Evil 4 which is missing proper lighting, bump mapping and such. You can read more about this at Gamespot’s Resident Evil 4 PC forum. I too will be waiting for the official release which should be released near the end of the month.

Superb – I have an old XP 2400+ and an ATI X1600. No problems. Tried the mouse patch – worked fine, however found the controls more useable with a gamepad.
Still playing the game. Graphics aren’t up to modern standards but the game sure is addictive – (and creepy as hell).
Well worth the download.

awww, this is the second version of re4 that i’ve tried. Both the hatred and netshow releases give me an error saying that game.exe has encountered an error, and it just closes, it’s not even a direct x problem

The new patch v1.1.0 (which improves the graphics and fixes a bug)doesn’t work with this release!!! I spend hours to run the patch but nothing works. Download another release (EU Version for example) if you want the REAL graphics!
i does work. you need to install asian to european patch first. then change game.exe from installation to this from folder original-game. then change in registry biohazard 4 to resident evil 4 . install patch and no-dvd. game looks sweet. in 1-3 area where without patch we good clear cementery in grren and black now i have fog and is scary.

I downloaded RE4 from a torrent, and everything seems fine untill I…..startthe game up. All i see is the window then it give me the box that says “game.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” It asks me to sens an error report. It does this EVERY time. I really need help. Thank you.
Solution for the error is either delete or rename( if u want to keep it) the movie folder. It crashes when it try to load the video files. It worked for me

How to install RE4 1.1 patch? Dunno? Follow instructions.
1. Install game in directory C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Resident Evil 4
2. Download and install “R34 PATCH ASIAN to EUROPEAN VERSION”, link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CQ0PJL1U or http://up-file.com/download/4d7ea396145/Asiant0Eu.rar.html

Can anyone help with the rolling boulder scene early in the game? I’m using keboard and when I try and press the numbers to dodge teh boulder i just keep on getting squashed. It’s a bummer. Appreciate any help.
There is some problem when u installed eu 1.10 patch with mouse aim but u can fix that with MouseAimFix. After installed 1.10 patch set up ur controls on keyboard, visit http://www.mouseaim.net.tc find MousAimFix (Dinput8.dll) copy this file in ur installation directory of game and try to start “Loader.exe”.
Dodge(5+6) = Mouse2 + Ready Knife
Dodge(1+3) = Mouse1 + Run/Cancel

E ja imam isto ati ali 9550 pro, izvrsi update drajvera za graficku, izbrisi skroz igru (ali sacuvaj fajl savedata, to su ti sejvovi od igre) izbrisi sve “registry value” od igre pa instaliraj na novo sve.

I am using MouseAim 2.0 for biohazard 4, but I am stuck in one scene where I am dodging soldier-buddy in a knife fight. The 1,3 commands for dodging(R shift, L shift keys) do not work..but on rare occasions they actually do. Am I doing something wrong here? Let me know folks! Thanks!
Hey Does anyone knows what maybe the problem when in the first cutscene the video does not continue?? the same thing when you talk to the police in the car in the first part does not continue as well?? when i go to my directory folder to see the movies (not clicking anything)there is some error popping up it says like this “c++ runtime library error program c:windows/explorer exe. abnormal program termination” and closes the whole folder of movies in the game directory.i have a feeling that is the reason why the cutscene does not continue in the beginning(not showing leon riding in the car)
